I use PLA primarily. I use a Markforged printer at work that uses nylon. PLA does not give off an offensive odor like ABS. PETG is supposed to be a good material for strength. ABS and PETG work best with a heated bed. Matterhackers has some good information on different materials.

Praetorian blasters, The rubber blaster looks great. I was commenting on the photos of the deactivated sterling. My Sterling was cut up into pieces to be legally deactivated in the USA. It is illegal to make a functioning weapon out of the parts.I used the parts to make 3d models for printing replica parts on a 3D printer.

Your deactivated Sterling is more home made that a real sterling. Not even close. I have a real Sterling L2A3. Yours sort of looks like a Sterling but way too many differences. The front sight, barrel end, rear sight, charging handle, bolt opening, end cap mounting are all off just to mention a few. The magazine holder and front sight are definitely home made.

If you have access to a 3D printer you may want to try the parts I have designed for 3D printing. I used an actual Sterling L2A3 and measured the parts and created models in Solidworks. Check out my thread for 3D printed E-11 blaster parts. I have a muzzle end for 40mm 1.25" pvc pipe. The models were created using a deactivated Sterling L2A3 i own along with a real M38A2 scope and Hengstler counter.

Please make a file for each part individually. It is easier to arrange the parts for printing.

 

I have a Printrbot 3D printer that I have upgraded to print 12"L X 4"W X 5"H. Future plans are to increase the width to 6" and height to 10".

 

Now I have another SW prop to add to the list for printing.

Yes I am still working on it. Currently working on a Heiland flash conversion to make a ANH Vader Saber. Just need to finish the clamp and I'll be done with it. I used a drawing of the original T-Track and have made a 3d model of it to use for the grips. These can be used for the blaster as well I just need to lengthen them to fit.

 

I have completed the Hengstler counter and front sight assembly. I have not posted these to the Thingiverse page. The parts I need to finish are the trigger group, hand grip and folding stock.

If you have access to a 3d printer you can print this in PLA or ABS plastic. You can upload to Shapeways and receive the part in the mail.
