  1. And here are some updates.....the grip installation and the filling of the rear sight.

For the rigger guard i will use 10mm steel, not Aluminium.

    And here is the result...

And now the rear sight (for both i used a special epoxyd resin particular for metal; in the past i used green stuff)

Just a little bit of sanding and this chapter is finished:-)

And yes: i have to paint the whole blaster....

    Cheers,

    Felix

  2. Wat?????

  3. Hi folks,

I'm thinking over 1 year to build a real Tunisia Bapty Blaster out of a Sterling.

I was thinking how i can manage the grip installation. Now i have some ideas and here it is: the WIP

    The part list:

    - Sterling

    - Hengstler Eagle Counter

    - M38 from 1942

    - power cells and metal scope rail from Andy

    - real sized t-tracks

    - real Sterling magazine with wooden block

    - aluminium grip

    - just a little bit of green stuff

    - and JOY!!

And here is the progress so far.....

The next is the installation of the back end. This is not 100% accurate because i will use the original sterling part and not an aluminium cast. I still habe a cast but this one is horrible....

  4. With two Kids I'm really busy:-))

Yes, converted means that i filled up the cap. It looked like an M38 just the number on the side is missing.

But this scope is sold:-( and my source is empty.

If you take a look into ebay you will find some scopes. But don't pay more than 100$ for an M38A2 and not more than 160-170$ to an M38. Over 200 is too expensive!

    Cheers,

    Felix

  5. Yep you are right Mathias! Next time i will send it partially assembled:-)

James, you don't need to send a present. You can do it if you like but your words and your PM are presents enough for me my friend! I'm fine dude....

Come to Germany and we are killing some beer together:-))))

  6. The Magazine is clued with E6000. So it is easy to separate it from the body!;-)

And thanks for your kind words James. But first: you paid for a 100% completely product from me and it came broken. So it is my service to make you happy!

Second: that's why I'm here...we are friends in plastic;-)

Take care buddy and have a great day!

    Cheers,

    Felix

    @Karin: thank you:-*

I found all the parts you will need. You just have to change the window of the old hengstler box to the new one. And you have to sand down the mag housing for the mag....and paint it black:-)

    Sorry again my friend!!!!!!!

  8. What the hell is that????

I'm so sorry my friend that the blaster didn't arrived in that quality which you expected...really sorry!!!!!

    What can i do?

The Magazin holder is the main issue and I will send you a new one on my costs!!

WHat happend with the Counter box???????????????? I think I have a second box and i will throw it into the package!

I don't know the size of the scope screws but i think that's an easy fix. Vern? Do you know the sizes?

I packed the blaster like a Baby so i think too that the opend the box.........F.   u... c...    that's enough:-)

Sorry again man but we will manage it and you will get the blaster you have paid for!!

  9. Hi Ho,

it is right: the delivery time and the communication is an F (or a 6 in Germany)!

At this time we have 4-6 weeks between order and the dispachted note (add 1-2 weeks for shipping). Sure, that's too long for items 'in stock'. And if you have a question to your order you don't get any response.

BUT: doopydoos is not Amazon Prime and Casey is a one woman show selling bears in the main business. If you need a blaster FAST you have to go to Derrek. That's the point.

I ordered round about 15 or more blasters from doopys and i got every single blaster. For three years with a 2 week wait time...now with 6-8 weeks.

i don't say that is good but that's our hobby: plan your builds and set a wait time for your projekt AND exercise some Patience:-)

P.S. last week i was in a kind email communication with Casey;-) So sometimes you are getting Response....sometimes;)

  10. Yes! The vendors are not Amazon!

BUT (a big BUT): i think a vendor have to answer during 48 or 72 hours on a PM (except you are ill or in hospital). You should answer at least to the second PM. Just a short message.....

Because we all are not Goldman&Sachs ;) and we have to pay (at least a deposit) before the build starts or whatever...

    Just my 2cent

(because i have the same problem with a vendor outside the fisd since January 2014!).
