  1. I can try to pry them apart. I am wondering if I would even get basic approval if I switched to doing the coverstrip method for the rest of the suit? At this point it has been 2 years and I kind of just want to get it done so I can work the next project, so basic is what I am going for right now.
  2. I have an ATA kit that I am building an ESB TK. I only have the lower arms put together so far and these were done by overlapping the outer piece and gluing it with ABS cement, so I can not unglue it. After reading more tutorials and watching some video's I think I prefer using a finishing strip to join the pieces. My 1st question is: Can I leave the lower arms as they are and switch to using finishing stips on the rest of the armor and still get approved? 2nd: Can I put a finishing strip on the outside of the lower arm armor and still have it approvable and not stupid looking? My 3rd question pertains to the trimming. The kit is mostly trimmed with a dremel and is pretty close. There still needs to be some trimming done here and there but all the large pieces are trimmed. Can I use the bend and snap method to do final trimming without messing it up? (In some places it is 1/8th or less that needs to be trimmed now.) Thanks!
  3. I've ordered most of the parts. It should be fun to do. At least it doesn't involve reflow soldering! I have a couple questions: 1. Do you have a schematic you are working from or are you just winging it? I won't reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. 2. Do you know if something like this would work for the Sound Card Module http://www.ebay.com/...=item2570d4e456 ? Its about 1/4 the cost of the one you show. 3. Can I take a look your code? I might be able to help out of it. Though I won't be able to do much until my parts arrive from china lol I'm digging this project. I was going to just take a Hasbro core for the electronics but this is more fun. ETA, just read the post where you said you'd post schematics/code when you are done. Reading is fundamental.
  4. I'm waiting too. Looking forward to it. Been building my bucket and getting all the other stuff for my TK while I wait.
  5. Thanks! I knew they were not perfect, I just didn't realise how imperfect I have a very good eye for symetry. But I think the imperfections made it seem more real. The OT has a much more organic feel to it than the PT, which well, lets just say I'm an OT guy. Glad there is noting wrong with my kit then!
  6. I just got my ATA bucket and have a few questions. I know that screen helmets are not symetrical, so I didn't expect the helmet to be symetrical. But opening the package I'm a little dismayed, and want to know if I got a dud or if this is normal. The left eye brow is noticeably larger, more over hung if looking at it from the bottom of the mask. The vocorder area on the front is not very crisp. The right side of the mask is much flatter than the left which is curved. On the top/back piece the indents for the vent areas are not very defined, and not smooth. Not having seen these in raw form, I'm not sure if this is normal, or if my kit is a lemon.
