I also came across this image over at MEPD, apparently it's a photo from a magazine that had lots of Rogue One promo shots in it.

The two figures with the visible backpacks are IDENTICAL in every way, weathering, markings, position of the armour, pose etc. The figure on the left has been photoshopped onto the image and is a duplicate of the figure on the right. Kinda odd if its a still from the film......?

  2. It appears this product was on clearance as it seems to be sold out everywhere, the price they were selling for probably explains the reason this Rod was chosen. Prop departments are only given so much budget so they obviously save money wherever possible, same goes with the cheap latex tubing instead of expensive real cable.

In that case, repair lol  :P  :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

  3. As can be seen on this close up, the bushing appears to be behind 2 straps:-

The outer 'popper' strap and the inner 'pronged clip' strap:-

Putting the bushing behind the pronged clip strap (by removing the screw and bushing, threading it thru and refitting the nut etc) will make the clip protrude out from the strap as seen on the CE pack:-

Having said all that, I saw the movie tonight and, if you blink you'll miss the two scenes the pack is in !!!

  4. There will always be the likers and haters of new costumes. This 'new' version of the classic TK armour is probably closer to the way Lucas wanted the TKs to look. Although it is set just prior to ANH, I think the majority of fans would be disappointed if the TKs armour was 'screen accurate' to ANH, after all, a blind man could read the surface of the helmets, they were that rough! I think they rock, and still think the original TKs are far better looking than any Clone or FO armour !

  5. Hi guys, I have 2 sets of TK armour I an starting work on, one for the Battlefront Shock Trooper, and the other as a Magma/Lave Trooper, both sets of armour require the addition of the edge trim and I was wondering if anyone can point me in the correct direction for said trim. I purchased 10m of white rubber trim but that a) won't stick to the armour, even with CA glue, and B) won't take paint.

    All assistance greatly received !

ps: I'm in UK but am happy to buy it from further afield !
