    i am looking forward to getting it. i am almost like a kid at christmas. it was the same way when i ordered my boots and when they arrived i was one happy little trooper. well from the advice from everyone i have made several contacts on my search and i await replies.

    first of all...my name is David and i have been on here for about 2 weeks. i have had a great deal of help on my search for a new helmet ( which i have ordered and it is on its way ) and help on my holster questions. i thank everyone so very much for all the help and advice. i have tried to post pics of me in my armor as it looks so far, but i have been having trouble getting my shots to post. i am not that computer wise, and have no idea what i am doing wrong.

    as i said on a earlier post my armor was bought 2nd hand and i have had to do a bit of work on it to make it work. i have no idea what brand of armor it is. i want to thank you trooper 1972 for the advice about the ebay shops. i was looking on there but have not got anything yet.

    locitus, thanks for the advice about not just throwing it out there. as for what is wrong with the ones that i have is they are too short. as i said i got the armor 2nd hand and the forearms are about an inch or so short. and i think that it leaves just too much of a gap. if i move them up then i have to much black at the wrist, and if i move them down.well you get the picture. i know that with out a pic it is hard to tell what i am talking about. if you want you could check out my facebook, H David Phillips, for pics of the work in progress.

    the holster....is it open at the bottom or is it closed ? and how is the best way to attach it to the belt ? if i read it right there should be no straps on the outside of the belt so how do you do it? i was thinking about industrial velcro but i have no idea.

    my next question...the buttons on the ab. what is the color pattern ? i know it has the blue and grey but if you look at it from the front what is it ?

    yes that is me. i am planning to order the helmet next week, and as for the forearm pieces i will see what i can do about getting a pic of them. they look like the movie ones. by that i mean that they have the rib or box looking design on the one side. but being new and wanting to get it right, i want the ones for the tk armor. inside elbow to wrist is about 8 1/2 " so i figure i would need at least 7 3/4" to 8 to give me the look i want.

    once i have these and my new helmet, i think that i will be ready to join the 501st, i hope !

    hello FISD, my name is David and i am working on my first suit of armor. i got the armor 2nd hand so i have had to do a bit of work to get it just the way i want it. it's not done yet but soon ! i want to get into the 501st, i need a few things first.

    as i said the armor is 2nd hand, so the forearms are about an inch to short. i am in need of both right and left. also, i am in need of a helmet. i do have a MR helmet, which if i read the rules right will work, but not if i want a true trooper armor.

    any help with this would be awesome.
