Hello all, Matt a.k.a. Hambo70 here from the central Ohio area. I've been a Star Wars fan for over 34 years at this point. I was fortunate to be at one of the first 1977 premiers here in Ohio. Over the years I've donned the costumes of good guy and bad guy alike. Most recently, my wife and I hit the mid Ohio Comic Con. My wife was dressed as one of Amidala's handmaidens and was widely accepted and photographed by everyone. I on the other hand chose a different path. I had actually written a short Star Wars inspired story which centered around a Jedi character of my own creation. While my character believed in doing good with his abilities, his thinking was a lot less black and white like the traditional Jedi. Did I mention he comes from an almost animal like people...Yeah! His name was Fangor Rahl, or simply Fang to his friends. While my costume was very accurate in it's design, I added a bit more color than traditional Jedi, I was also sporting wolf like contacts, pointed ears,  some nasty looking fangs, and a very cool custom saber of my own design. Needless to say Star Wars traditionalists gave me credit for attention to detail but weren't happy with the other liberties I took ...the fans however ate it up! I saw very little of the convention because I was so busy having pics taken. In any case, toward the end of the day I spoke with a few members of the Ohio garrison and thus started my trip down the path to the dark side. I'm currently working on a TK build...
