  1. Don't be sorry at all bro. I paid a staggering ONE DOLLAR for it. I plan to take all the decals off it, paint the helmet and the details. Going to be a fun project for me, and for it's intended use, it will be perfect. I appreciate the input bro. Anyone else that can chime in about it, or about the lenses, would be greatly appreciated. No worries -you won't offend me. Perhaps this will be a stepping stone into getting something real later. We all gotta start somewhere.
  2. Please take a look at the pics at the bottom of post....... I am apologizing in advance for my ignorance. I just received this helmet in the mail today. Can someone please tell me what model name/number this is considered? The description said it was a "Don Post" -whatever that means (manufacturer?). I purchased this to restore it. I am looking for lenses, preferably chrome, but I understand I may have to make those from a motorcycle shield. If anyone can recommend where to purchase Chrome lenses, it would be appreciated. Otherwise, suggestions on smoked ones would be good. What is the deal with the green lenses? Today when I registered on the site and did a lens search was the first I had seen the green lenses. My last question is regarding the black helmet in the last pic. Who wore that helmet, and is it considered sacrilege to try to convert mine to this? I am HUGE into vintage bmx restoration and very active on the bmxmuseum forum. I can only imagine the butt-kicking that I am inviting with this post. Please bear in mind that while I saw the first Star Wars movie as a boy in the theaters and I have been an avid fan, this is the first i have looked into this stuff on this level. Thank you guys very much for your help an patience. Once again, please take it easy on me. I did some searches but this stuff is all a bit overwhelming for a Newbie. ----------
