  1. That won't stop you from showing off your armour at the premiere will it?

Nah, I wouldn't miss it! Now showing off my armour? That all depends on if I have some by then. :P

  2. If you've seen the cartoon series that's been out for a while, this just mimics the style. Should be interesting to see what they cover (and if it will continue your incorporate the cartoon storyline).

Frankly, I'm not excited about the Clone Wars movie because of this. Its just a digital rehash of the original Clone Wars cartoon which I loved because Genndy Tartakovsky was involved. Note digital. George Lucas will never get off of this fix! :P

  3. Currently, I'm a house painter and part time house keeping aide at a nursing home, but I've done everything from manufacturer for a gutter-cover company to tailoring for the clothing store Buckle.

Also, I'm currently trying to get back into school.

  4. Hey all. My cousin purchased some Bobamaker TK lenses a few months back and then found out that he needed flat green lenses. Made from 3mm thick smoke coloured acrylic, they're curved to fit the contour of your helmet. We've never done anything with them, still in perfect condition, so I'm looking to sell. I'm asking $9, OBO, plus shipping. Will post pics later tonight.

    Thanks for looking!

  5. Hey gang. Recently for a film project we threw a quick coat of paint on my roommate's AP bucket to make it look recognizable on screen. Its a very sloppy job, and its latex. I was just wondering if I could save time by taking paint stripper to it and removing the paint down to the ABS. I don't have a problem sanding, but . . . that's a lot of sanding. :P

  6. People who bite or clip their fingernails on the couch (where I sleep). 2 AM, wake up to a sudden stabbing pain in my side. Pull out a half-chewed fingernail. Disgusting. <_<

Generally, one of the biggest things that bothers me is when people will stare over my shoulder while I'm on the computer, especially typing posts on forums.

Oh, and the fact that I'm not getting my share of the economic stimulus this year because I was a Dependant for half of last year.

  7. Hey all. I can assume why its there, but would like to hear it from far more learned people than I, so please pardon my ignorance. Why is the right eye on the AP bucket so warped? Is there any way to make it look less like its squinting, or is that a desired look for authenticity?

Thanks for any answers, guys! :D

  8. Alright, so I would first like to express a debt of gratitude to all those who helped me with my ear-cutting question. They look much better now, after following some well put advice. :D

Now to business. Painting this SOB is a pain, downright. I'm no dunce when it comes to painting, but I've tried two different paints (Valspar plastic, and Valspar high-gloss laquer), every painting technique I can think of, and about 10 hours trying to give it an even, semi-glossy coat, but everytime there are ugly runs all over this thing.

I'm sanding it down now, and plan to try primer which is what I probably should of done in the first place, but any advice on the matter, or especially paint suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. :)

  9. Murphoid here, begging for a little advice. It seems that I've cut the ears of my AP Bucket wrong! The look decent from the front, but in the back, there is a massive gap on either side clearly revealing the hardware. The only thing coming to mind is Bondo, but I wanted to consult my friends here first, who, needless to say, have much more experience than myself. Pics follow. Thanks for any and all feedback. You guys are great!

  10. Alright gang, my low budget isn't really going to let me buy a full set of AP armor, so at this point in time, I've decided to buy the FX lite kit here on this board and an AP bucket. My first question is about the lower portion of the FX thighs right above the knee. I've noticed in most of the pictures, on average sized people wearing an FX set, the bottom part of the thigh armor looks like there's about one to two inches of open space. Is this just an optical illusion, or is there really that gap? Is there any way to modify it so that its more of a close fit without screwing it up?

Also, I wanted to ask about the size of the inside of the AP bucket. Would it fit on a person with a size 8 head? Thanks for any help! :D

  11. Hi all. Another newb here some may recognize from the Dented Helmet. Because I'm working on my Boba Fett right now, I probably won't be doing much with a TK until this project is completed to 501st standards, but I think it best to be gaining priceless knowledge on here nonetheless. :D
