  1. Ordered through trooperbay. thanks!
  2. Hey Guys, Other than trooperbay is there another source to get a replacement brow? I somehow lost the whole thing Would home depot have weather stripping or something similar?
  3. Sorry for the lack of update, but I did end up completing my armor and I should have my tkid in the next day or two!
  4. The Cantina version of the TD would probably be the closest I'd get except a T-21 instead of DLT-19. I'm just a fan of BFG's! lol. Time to bust out a few dabs of e6000!
  5. AM threw in a orange pauldron for a great price so I'm going with a captain's backpack to match (I believe it was #3). Should I glue the weather strip at the bottom to the helmet ?
  6. A friend of mine helped me build out my CAP-W bucket, this isn't weathered yet but input is welcomed!
  7. So I trimmed an inch off the front of the thighs, and curved/trimmed the back bottom of the thigh and top back of the shins... I just tried it on and I can actually walk without issues now (awesome!) now the left thigh gets caught on the sniper knee plate once in a while.. and I figured out why the butt plate does fit well.. the inner thigh sits high and pushes the but plate up and out.. should I trim an inch off the top back of thigh to match what I did with the front or do i need to do something with the butt plate?
  8. Your diagrams are worth more than a thousand words my friend! I did however get my 3 buttons for my ab plate so that was the only thing I did today.. Surprisingly I don't look like a chipmunk today, if I'm still good tomorrow I will get to trimming on the legs and see if I can get the butt armor to fit better.
  9. NICE! I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled out today but I'm gonna get on that trimming! THis is the first time I've seen that diagram, you are a life saver. Any suggestions on the butt plate? I have no butt so it doesn't sit right =\ I know Terry had a post about that somewhere but I can't find it. lol.
  10. I trimmed off about a inch off the top of the thigh armor (without the inner thigh or rear) but I still have the back push against the back of my knee's.. I think I need to take about the same off for the rear... I know it would kill me to wear it as is right now... Are you guys able to jog or sit in your suits?
  11. Thanks for the feedback guys! AM does requires soooo much trimming.. lol.. I've used all of terry's tricks to put this thing together so I've been using both the build threads for a lot of reference.. Once my boots come in I'll test fit with the boots before I make any adjustments to the shins.. Terry How much do you think I should be trimming off the top of the thigh and bottom of the shins? Go half an inch at a time? btw, on your heating iron video I know you showed us how to do it on your handplate.. can you give me some measurements because I don't have a second kit to measure off of.. thanks!
  12. Here is an update to where I currently am at.. sorry for the terrible camera phone pictures.. I'm having issues with the thighs and shins.. Shins - pretty tight at the ankles... should i cut more off or try to bend the armor with a heat gun? Thighs - I've shortened the thigh strap to sit as high as it possibly can (which looks a bit high... when I walk I feel like the entire thigh feels way too long (the lower back of my thigh is being pressed up against the lower back of this piece if that makes sense when I walk..) .. how should i trim? the ankles are a bit tight and the thigh armor doesn't fit well.. I'm shortened the thigh strap to sit as high as it possibly can but lower back of my thigh armor is a bit on in the back.
  13. Thanks Clint! I couldn't find that post but the word is pretty dead on from what I can remember!
  14. I think i saw a thread for this question a while back but I can't find it... When assembling the shins are they the same for either sides like the shoulder bells or is there a way to tell.
