  1. Yea, it's very heavy. After finishing it, I started looking at old publicity photos of Han & Luke holding the E11. It's hard to find a photo with them holding and aiming it straight out with their arms extended. They're always aiming it high in the air. It's because of the weight of the weapon. If you had to hold it with your arms extended, your arms will start to shake from the weight.
  2. Thanks everyone for allowing the kind words. I don't troop but I wouldn't want to carry this thing around for too long. It's weighs in at around 35 pounds.
  3. I have never built any props but about a year ago I purchased a British Sterling from someone on this site. He never got around to starting the build so I got it and did. Once I got my hands on the Sterling, I got a M38 scope, a Hengstler counter, some T-Track and I purchased one of WolfCubDesigns Power Cylinders. I made the scope rail out of a steel bar. Anyway, I finally finished it this week and I couldn't be happier.
  4. Will you make me one? Pleaaase....
  5. Thanks everyone for the welcoming comments. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Year.
  6. Thanks for the info Tom. I am planning on building R2 from ANH. I prefer everything original ANH. It holds a special place in my Star Wars universe. I will try and contact my locals and I'm sure I will be hunting through teh posts as well. Thanks again.
  7. I ordered an AP kit last week and I am pretty excited. I've never had anything like this before. I saw a bunch of people trooping during the Bloomsday run earlier this year and had been thinking about it ever since. I'm also an R2 Builders Club member and have been collecting parts over the past year. I hope to start putting him together here soon. I want to join the 501st and start trooping and hopefully add R2 after awhile. If anyone in the Spokane Washington area reads this, please email me. I'd love to see your gear and get some ideas about how to put this armour together. Happy Holidays. Troy
