  1. You're on the right track. Just keep following the mold lines and trim it to size (with your undersuit on). I'd say leave a little wiggle room when you size the parts, but that's just my personal preference. Your blaster is shaping up. Lots of good hasbro mod build threads to reference here.

Thanks Tim! I was pretty hesitant at first but i think i have the hang of it now. Yeah there are tons of E-11 build threads and a few different ways to do it. Had to work late today and tomorrow i have to go to a wedding so no really progress. I'll be back on it on Sunday though. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

  2. So my armor should be here soon. Thanx for all the info! I did buy the pliers from Joann's & the snaps from Tandy. does anyone know where I can buy sheets of abs to make shims and snap plates? or what I may have around the house which can be used? Thanx for the help everyone! :D

I bought these at Wal-Mart. They seem a little thicker than the sale signs i looked at so i went with these...

I haven't used them yet but they seem like they should work fine.

    Good luck on the build!

  3. Quick Update: Starting rough cutting on the curved pieces. Didn't like using the curved scissors so i've been using some tin snips and they are making it really easy! All i should have to do is a minimal amount of sanding on everything. Well, you guys know the drill. Give me some feedback!

  4. Lots of good information! Thanks for all the input. I'm setting a goal of 3 weeks once my armor arrives. I think thats pretty reallistic. I'll be working on it every afternoon and i have a place to work inside at night if need be. Other than the Thanksgiving holiday coming up i should be able to work on it everyday. I have everything on hand except for the actual armor so i should have any hold ups once it gets here. Thanks again for all the info you guys are always a big help!

  5. Quick question.. What is the average build time for a TK once all materials are on hand? I have an ATA kit coming in a few weeks and i like to have a goal to set. I would like to have it complete by mid December. i've plotted everything out on my calendar and the only thing that is really going to take awhile is the curing time for the Rustoleum Professional High Performance Enamel. Just wanting everyones thought on the matter.

  6. Well, I've been lurking here and at MEPD.net for a little while and I thought i would post and say hello. Have been looking at the different kits and prices and i think i'm going to go with an ATA kit. Any tips are suggestions. This is such a great forum and there is some much more info than i could ever have imagined.

    cheers
