  1. Hello all,

I'm contemplating getting a Jimmi's TS armor kit.  I've read through some of the build threads but am trying to get a one stop list of everything needed to prepare the armor for paint.  That includes personal protection gear needed to work with fiberglass as well as the sanding, primer, plasti-dip (?), etc.  If someone could help me out, I'd be very thankful.

  2. Glad to see another TD in progress!  Near the bottom of the following link are details on what's required for SWAT.

Unless something has changed the interior of the helmet won't be scrutinized.  The details, especially the wreathing will though.  Start gathering resource material on the trooper you're interested in.  Getting all of the parts required for your backpack can be a long term process depending on which backpack you have to do.  The construction process for the armor is the same as the TK so the tutorials here will be helpful.  Look at the SWAK applications on the MEPD to get a feel for how the process operates.

Have you decided on which trooper you're interested in yet?

  3. Okay, thanks for the advice gentlemen!  I'm wanting something that can stand up to hammering.  Tony will attest that me and setting snaps don't get along so well.

Where can I find Harbor Freight coupons?  Amazon looks to have the same bench with free shipping, but it costs a little more.  Harbor Freight looks like they would charge a freight premium to send it.

  4. Hello all,

I'm looking for advice on a tool bench or table to work on while building armor.  It needs to be non-permanent since I live in a rental house, but sturdy enough that it doesn't wobble around when being used.  Would like to keep it affordable as well.  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Pat
