  1. Hows it going everyone.

Im looking for anyone in the fresno, visalia, tulare and bakersfield area.

I just recently bought an AM kit. And i know i will be needing some help.

I will of corse try myself first, and read all the threads. But i do know ill.need some hands on help.

If anyone is in those areas, will you drop me a pm. Im willing to travel to you for the help. Plus. Once i get my armor done, we could troop together.

    Thank you in advance

  2. So i called around, an every hardware store said plasti dip is used for coating the ends of tools to give it a grip... An that it doesnt get hard. Is this true?

Im currently in the prosess of using that truckbed liner. Which doesnt seem to be giving tha back where the hovis will go any sort of support. Its paper thin, to where i can accualy poke threw it with my finger. But we shall see.

  3. Finaly padded. And all thanks to mr. soldermaster!!!

Its set up like my rt-mod. Cause......its beyond comfy!

I put some screen type weather stripping around the eyes. Im not sure why. Maybe in one of my many unsober states i thought it was pure genious! But. It is pretty neat. I noticed the AP helmets fit alot more snug with padding. I took out my rt-mod padding, an i couldnt get my head in, then when i did, my entire face was smashed forward! But it works....not too pretty, but works

I did thin down the back padding.

But now this helmet feels like my rt-mod! I love it! May not be the pretties thing on the inside, but it sure is comfortable!

Thanks a gazillion soldermaster(brian) for the padding! Its perfect and your a life saver!

  4. Im really happy with the fan. My lid is getten pretty heavt. An im not too worried about heat. I live in the central calley of ca, where its 100+ degrees in the summer/fall. An ive competed in paintball for over 4 years in the heat and summer, so im very use to hott helmets/face maskes.

But i may have to try out his other fan like you said. Who knows, i may be introduced to a new tk heat.

  5. Looks great. I think with the frown, its not a huge deal. Mine has a few bumpd here an there, nothing bad thought. Id sand the eyes more, mine look the same an i was told to sand them more. An with the black strip around the ears, id thin it out a tiny bit more..... Maybe. I mean, im no expert, but it looks a tad too think. I had mine almost the same, an i just redid the grey part of the ears an it thinned it out alot!!

    But it looks great man!!

  6. Right now its not too loud. I think im having issues with the hovis, but air ship has been great at helping me figure out whats wrong. He tested my set begore it shipped an said it was loud enough to almost blow the speakers. Soooo i dont know what i did.

Im goin to be trying a 9v 300mah rechargeable battery. An a AA set up. I love the board. Seriously....its worth buying.

And the padding came with my bucket. Its beyond comfortable!!! Its set up in an 'I' formation. Forehead, top, back of the head

  7. Finaly got everything set up! Im very pleased on the outcome. Im posting this just in case anyone is wondering how to set up their helmet, an that they could use this for ideas!!

Here is my RT-MOD set up with hovi speakers from air-ship. Very nice hovis i must add!!!

Here is the inside. I have my ROM set up on the left side. Believe it or not, it is not in the way. I cant even feel it on the side of my head. I quickly made a black material bag for the board to protect it from sweat or dirt or whatever else lands in there. Im not thrilled with the battery, but im worken on fixinf the location.

I picked the mic up from jim. Needless to say, its perfect!!! It originaly was a wrap aroun style mic, but i snipped off the wire an bent the edge an placed velcro around it to fasten it to the helmet. I went velcro crazy, but i do own an AP bucket, an i plan on having a bucket for every episode, so i wanted everything to be interchangeable.

All the excess wires WERE NOT cut!!! I simply just tucked them into the neck trim, an they fit perfectly. Not a single bump or buldge. An it make the inside look very clean.

Here is the connector fpr the wires for my hovi's. Velcroed to the bottom left of the helmet.

I kept the original padding. Its way to comfortable to replace!!!

And thats basicaly it!!! I will be adding fans soon. I can live with out them for now. Im more worried about getting my armor.

Thanks for looking and hope this helps with future set ups!
