  1. If you're going for ANH or ESB EIB then although not required, they are a "should have". It's a nice little touch. They aren't necessary for ROTJ.

Hey Grant, I wouldn't have thought the rivets were required for that variation. I can't see any reference to them  .

I thought that for EIB you had to comply with all the "should haves" for that catagory.

When I read the CRLs, it said for ESB that you need all the ANH "must haves" plus blah, blah, blah and then for ROTJ it says all ESB "must haves" plus this ,that and the other....SO....I took the CRLs to be that I needed to have all the "must have" AND all the "should have" requirements for

ANH,ESB,ROTJ and then the Commander mods on top of that in order to get EIB....So that's what I did.

    Is that not correct?

    Cheers,

    G

  2. Hey Quebectrooper that's cool no need to appologize, I appreciate your input.

I have tryed really hard to get this right but I may have overlooked something else, I had no idea about the FX thing so it stands to reason.

Daetrin, I don't know what to say but THANKYOU ! I am very proud and honoured to be a part of a group that put in such an effort to help eachother.

    Thanks again,

    Grant

  3. Grant you have anh hanguards and a rotj suit.

no control panel on your cannister.

i believe you also need to close the ab and back plates with shims.

    :)

    I checked the CRLs,

under ROTJ armour: " A gap between the ab plate and kidney plate is allowed as seen on screen"

and under TK Commander(game ref): " Hand plates must be ANH trapezoidal, not ROTJ snowtrooper hand plates" and "

Control panel is omitted from the 02 canister, and painted 100% white"

Can anyone tell me where it says that my helmet is not acceptable for EIB?

    Cheers,

    G

so even though FX is acceptable for legion standards and the helmet has been improved (more rounded) and is now AM it's still not passable? I didn't see anywhere that the AM or FX bucket isn't acceptable for EIB?

    Cheers,

    G

  5. Hey all,

As you may or maynot know a group of us from the 501st "Knightfall Squad" here in Victoria, Australia are doing the "Million Paws Walk" next weekend to raise funds for The "Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" (RSPCA) and we would greatly appreciate any help and support you are able to give.

I have attached a link to a fundraising page I have setup and would greatly appreciate it if you all could post links to it for all your friends to see.

Any of you that wish to donate.....That would be AWESOME !!! and you can do so at the link provided.

    Thanks again,

    Grant. :D

  6. Yes I was trying to point out that the scope rail is different and that there are 3 dotts on the right side(not mentioned in CRLs) and that I can't find any evidence of the greeblies on the left side (which are in the CRLs).

I would like to know who decides what the CRLs are for a costume and how they come to their conclusions.

I think a lot of the time what is said to be "screen used" is not,it's just what they had left to display.

Take the biker scout from the SW museum for eg, it has no greeblies on its TD = not screen accurate!

I think this is another one of those instances where a proto type is put on display and called"screen used".

If it can't be seen in a screen capture then it shouldn't be included.

Anyway, I guess if you want to go EIB you just have to follow the head sheep and just do what your told to.

    Cheers,

    Grant.

  7. Hi again all,

I have just been watching ROTJ and looking for the details/greeblies on the blaster.

I can't see in any part of the movie the greeblies on the left rear of the blaster.

The three dot type ones on the right are easy enough to see

and the different scope rail also but at no point did I see any greeblies on the left rear, infact it looks like there arn't any if anything.

Heck!.. the trooper on the right doesn't even have a scope !!

    Maybe the CRLs need adjusting?

Any help and knowledge you guys have on this would be great.

    Thanks,

    Grant.
