  1. So it looks like I'm gonna try the TK thong method. I'll let you know. Thanks for the help
  2. Good day all I am so close to finishing my TK I can almost smell the blaster residue. My big sticking point is the back. From all the screen shots I have seen, and I have seen many, it appears that the butt, kidney and back plate should almost touch. My issue is I'm a bit long in the torso so to achieve the proper gap the top of the back plate is about three inches down from my shoulders. The shoulder straps don't come close to reaching. Any suggestions other than taking out a few ribs and vertebrae? Thanks Skater
  3. OK- got home, took a good hard look at both and came to realization that one shin was very big and one shin was very small. Opps , time for a sharp knife. Thanks for the help Andy
  4. Really strong stuff Weld-on #4
  5. I'll take some when I get home Thanks
  6. Building an ATA and with my luck I did it wrong. I made it so the sharper angle at the top is on the inside of each leg. I have a feeling that the tops should match on each side, one leg has the sharp angle one leg has the less sharp angle Andy
  7. Are shins, before the knee plate and box a mirror image of each other? I know the forearms and bicep are not. Just wondering Skater
  8. I have looked at picture after picture but still can't seem to figure out the color scheme of the mic tips. Are they completely black or is the bottom of the inside white? Also, is there a slight silver ring at the top just above the screen? Thanks Skater
  9. I thought that right after I hit the post button
  10. Good day- I am a visual learner and have been looking for any type of video showing how to size thighs and shins? Does anyone out there in TK land know of any resources? Thanks Skater
  11. OK- What should I paint it with? Krylon Plastic Primer and Krylon Gloss White?
  12. Here are some snaps of my very first ATA bucket build. How did I do? Andy suggestions? Thanks Skater
  13. Thanks all. Now I just feel like big wuss
  14. Ok. I have it trimmed and the bucket is looking nice. Now to place face to cap. The cap appears to be too wide for the face. Is this something that will be taken care of when the halves are put together and the ears go on. Man I'm so nervous about messing it it may never get done Skater
  15. I have started to trim my new ATA bucket but I'm a little gun shy. I know take a little at a time until you are happy. My first question is, Am i supposed to trim off the big Frankenstein looking bump at the top of the faceplate? Thanks Skater
  16. Soon as I pressed the send button I noticed it.
  17. Help!! My daughter is 12 years old and 5 feet tall. She has not stopped nagging me since I started a TK build of my own. Does anyone out there know of someone that produces armor for the virtually challenged (Short) Thanks for the help Andy
  18. OK. One week down and 3lbs gone
  19. This is a simple question. I will be constructing an ATA suit soon. It is HIPS. Has anyone used Weld-On adhesives before in construction. I am using #3 for my droid build and was wondering if was alright for armor. Thanks Skater
  20. I'm all in. 5'10" 210lbs, as inactive as possible (I'm in IT). Started EA active this morning I hope to loose about 30lbs over the next few months. I know "Do or Do not. There is no try" Skater
  21. Looking into purchasing my first set of armor. I'm just a bit on the portly side, 5'10" and 215 Lbs. I am looking at ATA and wondering if thats going to be a good fit or not. I have read that FX is the best for the huskey Trooper. Is that right. Just trying to get more info Thanks Skater
