Billy Shears

I've been slowly replacing the elastic that's held my kit together since day one but I've been having some trouble gluing the strapping to my thighs I've tried epoxy, hot glue, and e 600 but nothing seems to hold. Is there some wonder glue that I'm missing? The straps run from the thigh and attach to the mid section via Velcro. Any suggestions of a better way to attach the thigh pieces would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks
