Hi!

I'm using some old parts to create a death trooper to my husband. He is already a tk, but I believe he will want to registry it, so I'm trying to follow the CRL. I'm using a lot of information and brainstorming from this place, so I decided to share how things are doing and ask opinions about it.

First of everything, as I'm using a frankenstein, some pieces are more yellowish than others. In the tests, after the base painting this difference almost disappear.

I created the base scene in my mind of a trooper that get involved in close combat, received a lot of injuries, resisted for some time, but died with two blaster shots. As a zombie he already started to decay, but there is no exposed skin (at least for now, since zombie walk is november 2 and we will be there).

I'm using acrylic paint because I have more knowledge about how to use it.

I started with the blood stains, using mostly a light brown. In the photos it look more reddish, because I used some carmine to darken it in some spots, but since the ageing will cover it the brown will (since I started thinking in the damage he took alive, so the other stain will be over it), I'm not too worried, because this carmine sensation will vanish in the yellow/umber/green. The armour is standing in a mannequin, so the dripping is natural.

I'm working over the damage the pieces already have, and using a x-acto knife to make the cracks. Most of the black used in the cracks is not black but raw umber. The blaster shot is white glue and toilet paper, as I've seen here. I made a test first, and it looked good. I will make cracks around it too.

I'm having trouble to post the pictures, so I will send the link to the album - http://photobucket.c...ga_deathtrooper

Opinions and ideas will be great.

(sorry for any english mistakes. I hope it is clear to understand)
