  1. i agree that nomex is comfortable. I drive with them dialy in a vehicle with no AC...it actaully keeps my hands cooler with my windows down in south Louisiana. A bit of sweat at 45 helps cool me.

I just want to make sure he gets approved with no issues, hence my query for a non textured glove. the only thing I have found is leather gloves like my TI gloves and those are pricey, but with a full guantlet.

  2. Im trying to help a recuit out with the gloves and referring to the CRL it says he can use a leather, or rubber type glove with no texture.

we can find rubber gloves with texture all day. I havent come across any black leather gloves that will fit the bill yet, they are either big and bulky and insulated or not really suited to TK use.

I dont know if he uses Nomex gloves if he will be approved as a new applicant. I always encourage new recruits to get the BEST and not cheese out to "get something better" later.

    Advice?

    Thanks!

  3. I have Jims voice amp and love it, as a TI I dont need the static but I may need a voice change for my other costumes to come.

I just checked that number in the Walmart Search function online and it no longer comes up.

This may change tho as the holiday season is upon us, I can swing by there today and see if anything is in stock with a different part number.

  4. I'm brand new to the board, definatley want to go with a ANH trooper. My question is helmets. I have a rather large head xl motor cycle helmets are a tight fit. Will I have any trouble with storm trooper helmets?

I am new here too but I can easily stuff my big old head inside of a FX helmet. not sure about the others as I have not tried them. I know I am pretty much the "crew cheif" on a ARC clone and I can barely get my head inside that one, and tried on a Phase III helmet last week, it too was a tight fit, and those are smaller than a standard FX kit helmet.

  5. Thanks Troopers!

Yes Daetrin you are right, I was surrounded by a lot of Senior NCO's with right arm patches and CIB awards. Yes there is a lot of info here, and I had thougth of going the classic route of the FX, but there are other options now.

I see my TI helmet maker IA out in Washington State is making TK gear now. Any thoughts on that?

  7. In my ever-willing desire to serve the Empire I have asked for TDY from my flight duties with the Jolly Roger Squadron to attend basic Infantry school. I figure I have a fast trigger thumb, I need to flex that trigger finger some!

TI 4019 of the Bast Alpha Garrison, I have been with the Legion for only a few months and am gaining as much experience as I can. A well rounded soldier makes the best of any situation!

Looking for some help in getting white armor and coming up to speed on what the current options are.

    My thanks!
