However, I didn't see anyone list what they use when they travel via airplane (for check in) other than saying 'a hard case' does anyone have a brand/product they use to fly with their armor? Aside from 'shipping' your armor to a hotel (via fed-ex, UPS, etc..) does anyone have some advice on the best way for 'out of towners' to bring their armor along?

Hello Members of the 501st!!

 

First let me say that I really admire all the charity work that all of you do year in, year out! I've been to a few conventions over the last couple of years (C4/Comic Con etc.) My wife and I really enjoyed the Droid Hunt at C4, it was so much fun getting busted with the tags. A big salute to all of you for being so cool to both of us.

 

Now that I finally signed up on the boards it's going to be great to talk with you about how I can start building my own uniform.

 

I'm new (clearly) and have not contacted the So. Cal. Garrison. Maybe one of you guys would kindly point me in the right direction on how to get started, find a mentor, if you will.

 

I'm really looking forward to getting started and hope someone out there doesn't mind a newbee trying to find his way around.
