  1. Couldn't quite find the answer I wanted on this one.

I just received my commission (haven't heard back from them yet about this). I'm curious as to when it's safe to polish your armor with a product like Plexus.

I understand that some painted plastics need up to 90 days to fully cure before you apply any kind of seal or polish product (as opposed to a cleaner), though I'm not familiar with how ABS works. Is it just the stock white and not actually painted? I know the helmets are fully painted, at least.

    Thanks for the help!

Have they got worse in the last few years? I have some from probably the 2nd or 3rd Wave they did and even 2 days solid it was fine.  Yes my feet hurt but I'd been stood up for 2 days so that's going to happen.

Granted they could be better but they are not the worst inner soles I own.

I'm new to this gig, so I can't speak for prior versions.

The ones I recently received from Imperial Boots though had paper-thin insoles. They were just completely worthless (but the boots are beautiful). I'm not very big or heavy, so even for me they were horrendously uncomfortable for any length of time.

I think people might underestimate just how important proper foot support and impact reduction for shoes is in general (or they might just not know any better). I play a lot of sports and was in the military as well, so understanding and having proper foot/boot fit is on my radar. From lower-back pain to knees and hips, bad foot support affects everything.

It's a really easy swap as far as costuming goes, and I highly, highly recommend buying some impact/gel insoles with proper arch support for all shoes, not even just costuming (Vans and Converse in particular are horrible offenders). So many shoes just have horrible insoles from the manufacturer.

Don't sleep on it! It might change your life, haha. Anyway, I hope this perspective helps.

You have a high point in your brow trim which you could bring down so it sits straighter.

I keep seeing people make this comment, yet the original ANH prop helmet brows are all kinds wonky and crooked (and there's the famous "Mr No Stripes" TK who shoots Leia, even), and I don't see this as an actual point of feedback on the guidelines.

RS Prop Masters even touched on this in a few of their videos, stating that some crooked brow is more realistic and akin to the original props. I mean, LOOK at these hideous things--they're beautiful xD

Is there a reason people on these boards point this out, or are they just missing the point of higher-level accuracy? Wonky brows, IMO, is where you want to be as opposed to more idealized perfection.
