    Hi Matt, just one thing.;)

If I can tell you something:blush:, if what you want is a valid helmet for the 501st, you can contact people(from your Garrison) in your area and they can advise you which is the best option, so you will avoid unnecessary expenses.:duim:

Thank you.  I kinda like the immersion into it. I am learning about so many things with this hobby.  It’s not unnecessary expense, I just think people are amazing and the work is impressive.  My first helmet, it has become my personal helmet to explore and deconstruct and plan out.

now my thigh armor…..it can go screw itself….. I don’t like thigh Armour right now….

    thanks for your encouragement.

Hi Matt, your helmet looks to be an EFX one, if you haven't done yet, there are some mods you would need to do for a basic level approval but under the  Hero CRL configuration  ,  since you're planning to go for Centurion Level I would recommend to change it for a more accurate one.

I have developed the addiction to these helmets.  The event I did last night was trying out the cyber craft helmet.  I really liked it.

  3. FIRST SHOTS WITH THE CAMERA.

Hello All: I had my first test shots in full armor.

My area of frustration is with the Thighs; they just don't feel high enough.

I noticed the photographer didn't help me on the belt and detonator looseness, I will double-check that.

The whole abdomen fitting of the chest plate and the ab plate.

This were just to test the camera, location, and detail.  Ill post official pictures this weekend

    Hello Matthew,

While its not really possible to do a full pre-approval review until you post the photos of you wearing the armor there is one thing I noticed. You mentioned that you are aiming for Centurion level out the gate. For Level II (and Level III) approval your boots cannot have a seam on the front of the boot.

    From the CRL:

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):

    • There is no seam present on the front of the boot.
    • Boots have a black sole

If you're looking to apply for EIB and Centurion upon Basic approval you will have to replace the boots for ones without seams.

Nice work with the photos of your armor! I look forward to seeing you all suited up!

Thank you for your comments.  In keeping with “Work in Progress”, I wanted to document my progress from the box.  Hoping, what you mentioned about the boots would come to light.

does anyone have a source for seamless white boots?

    thanks for your input.

    ML

I am at the beginning of this process.  These are the photos of the armor, without putting them on yet for fitting. My goal was to try and earn Centurion out the gate.  I would appreciate any help or suggestions.  My next post with be in Armor when I feel it is ready.  I am being challenged by thighs needing to be tighter to my Cod, and the Shins.

  6. This is very good post thank you.  I was interested to see what strapping or adjusting you did to your thighs.  I am new to this, learning as I go.

what are some ways to strap my thighs so they are snug?

    so far,

I created a 2 inch belt for my waster

i glued in two snaps into my leg armour

i created a “garder” style clip from straps on my belt to internal straps inside the thighs, I was hoping to have a pull to snug.

it gets close, but still 1-3 inches from being snug.

    anyone who has suggestions.

I want to help out the community and the people that doesn't have the time or have the necessary tools or skills to create a cool Signature banner or have the background of your Action Photo removed, or even if you have a request for a certain Profile picture!

I don't know how popular this will be, or what requirements I will need, but we will learn as we go and if it turns out to be popular and it gets too much for me - I'm sure that we can find a few more that are willing to help out!

I would like to take you up on this.  I don’t have any pictures of me yet.  But whatever I can learn, and use I would appreciate.

  9. Hello TK’s: I wanted to do a quick post to introduce myself, I am Matt. I am excited to be joining this community, everyone has been very helpful. I am joining the FISD as a Rogue One as a TK, I am so optimistic that this community will accept me and work with me to be my very best.  I became the most seriously sold on joining the 501st and my Detachments because of the charity events.

I am a Psychology teacher and football coach in Gilbert, Arizona.  I am a doctoral student in applied sports psychology. I am also a competitive pistol shooter. If you are in the Dune Sea Garrison and can reply to this, I’d love to get to know my garrison peeps as well as everyone else.

PS-If anyone can help make my profile picture fit, you get bonus points!
