[Issue with the shins]

Hey all, I've been working on a Legacy Stormtrooper build since May. I've run into an issue with the shins not fitting my calves (I had to take up running during the pandemic ugh). Does anyone have any advice regarding adding a shim to them so they fit? This is my first build and I'm really nervous about messing it up. I'm most nervous about getting the shim to curve properly but I'm also nervous about making sure it looks right in the back for approval.

 

Any advice or tutorials would be great. Thank you!
