That’s what I was mostly concerned about was the gap. I don’t have one on the right but I will on the left. Was that common with the left side? Or just in general. Is there a way to close that gap?

Rough fitting, looks way off, did I trim it too short? Or mess up the helmet during construction?

I put the first ear on. Im happy with the way it looks! No really big gaps, alignment looks good. What do you guys think?

This is what I have so far. will the screws bring everything together? Did I take off too much? Also don't worry about that low brow, I just push it up lol

I'm finding this very difficult trying to form the ears to the helmet. about how thick do you want the ears on the helmet? Do i want the ear thicker on the front? I'm talking about the disc as well. The circle with the rank bars on it. Its a good thing I was sent 2 pairs

Alright, gonna start on the ears today. I found this interesting video on youtube that seems to make a lot of sense and seems to work for the guy in the video. was wondering if this is a better option than trial and error with a dremel. thanks
TK trimming stormtrooper ears with a compass
Sorry i couldn't find the BBCODE option you talked about.
I also am not sure where to trim the ears to to even start for fitting, like how much do I leave? i sketched it out in pencil where I thought to trim first.

Is that gap okay, bc the ears should cover it, also should I trim the bottom of the helmet before rviteting?

There is a gap, because I’m basically pushing the back cap back to push the “snout” or like the nose forward. When it’s at rest is when it kind of droops down, like my posts before

I’m also a little concerned how far apart the pieces seem to be, like the cap from the inside of the faceplate one the sides doesn’t line up. I know the rivets will pull it together I just don’t want it to go all wonky

So it sounds like I have it set up pretty good, I need to go buy some needle files and do the teeth, but I should be able to rivet today, I’ll post an update when that’s done. Thank you everyone for your help

I’m back! Starting again after many months with the arms now, got the first one all trimmed up. I know the strips for the arms and bicep are 15mm. I have skinny arms so I just have 7.5 flat joint on each side to make it look nice. It fits without being too tight. Any tips? Also I’m assuming you cover up the top alignment with the cover strip. Is the cover strip rounded or chamfered or just straight. Thank you!
