Built the suit pretty much straight from the Jakks statue, but my son was tall enough I had to scratchbuild a new abdomen section.  Used one of the jakks boxes and cast the rest in polyurethane.  The abdomen was thermo-formed ABS.  Did it in the oven when my wife was out one night...

Mechanical Engineer by trade, extensive model building background (I like detail work!) to include a published article in Fine Scale Modeler.  Only one armor build under my belt, and that was converting the Jakks FO statue into a suit for my kids (both my son and my daughter have worn it!).  Just bought my first adult-sized helmet, which will likely spiral into a full suit for myself...
