  8. Need help with a warped helmet

    Hello all, was just looking at my helmet and noticed that it is a bit warped if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this issue it would greatly appreciated. I will post pictures in the morning when I have better light to take the pictures. Thank you in advance for any and all input.

    Welcome to the FISD!
    You ask all the questions you have. We'll all do our best to help you.
    Check out some SDS suits that gained Expert Infantry in the advanced tactics section to see what they look like.

    Thanks a quick question just for my own clarification I have noticed in some pics that the chest plate and back are not attached under the arms on some suits is this done for comfort or is that screen accurate

    I believe your WIP should have been placed here: ANH Build Threads A TK with administrative rights on FISD can move your WIP there, I'm sure, without any issue - no worries there.

    WIP work in progress, commonly called "build thread"  
    Thank you for the clarification and I do apologize for all the questions that I will be asking I know that my suit needs some work and I will most likely need a new helmet the one the suit came with is warped so I have to either figure out how to get the watp out or just purchase a new one.

    Your suit certainly fits you well - thinking minor fixes is likely what you need; you'll join the ranks in no time. Maybe starting a WIP will get advice to flood in for you ahead of submission to get approved.
    Sorry I am very new to all this so some of the short forms are lost to me not sure what a WIP is sorry about my nieveness to all of this

    This is all pretty new to me so I am going to be asking lots of questions about almost every aspect of building a suit. I was recently given a SDS battlespec full set of armor including helmet and E-11 with holster. Not sure if this is a good set or not but for the price which was $0 I was not going to say no. Having a set or armor has been some thing I have been thinking about for a cpl years but have never had the spare money to start. If anyone could let me know if it is worth my time to make any necessary mods to the armor to bring it 501st and FISD standards it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any and all input I am looking forward to learning as much as possible about the entire process of building a suit or making any changes that are necessary.
