  2. Hello,

I'm not used to write often in english; But i will try to explain the issues i had with my armor project.

Thanks to correct my work for making better a next time or some fixes.

My first issue is with Anovos : they don't deliver and sell in switzerland. Two ways to get out : order from french friends or see anywhere else...

The second issue was with the build threads : text only the most of the time and some research to do something wearable for a 1m70 guy.

The third issue was the furnitures : no E6000 glue : quite easy with some glue for "hard plastic" had done the work with a 24h drying time.

    Now the build:

I recently finished an ANH RS kit, nothing to expect bad.

The helmet was ordered build, a good point for a first armor. :

    urTJa2.jpg

The armor came delivered by dhl with a signature at delivery.. but the stuff was left outside a whole day. The "mailbox" signed.

    Nothing unusual here: parts everywhere.

Some sewing. : (neck seal home made and hidding the brands of the under suit)

    cfzkMu.jpg

Belt assembly: Nothing unusual; the "one stop shop" post is usefull for this part.
    lGlJrT.jpg

Tights and arms fitting : once again the tutorials helped but alone it take twice the required time and four steps.
I had to glue the inner parts first in order to have clean cover strips after fitting the lenghts : (widths used : 25mm behind the legs, 20mm in front and 16mm for the arms).

No magical tool for return edges in the hardware stores; some parts had to be shortened: heatgun, a clamp and well placed cuts.

    LYUcHc.jpg

The sniper plate had the hidden screw treatement : abs leftover glued inside.

    kxeNOC.jpg

    Strapping:
One hint for the three straps between the front and back part: glueing; otherwise the straps pop off from the scews.

Using a tool for the split rivets; a "V" shapped head helps a lot.

    Before painting and final adjustements:
    h7809P.jpg

My chest plate was not shortened at the back with the use of higher U-shaped holder. (not pictured)

    The shortened pieces where :

-The chest plate on the neck

-the cod part and the leg part shortened by bending

    -the butt plate

    -the forearms

-the tights (maybe too much, but now a can walk without hitting the cod or the AB plate)

-the shins (shortened on the feets part)

The kidney part and cod parts had to be bent a little.

    The fan part:

Two 5V fans behind a 2W dc/dc; the whole thing is put in place by worbla parts.

In fact the harder part was to trim the parts without a visible seam, even with the 8mm and 10mm rules.

    Don't hesitate to correct me.

    A newbie builder.

  3. Hello,

I just finished an storm Anh with the help from this forum; thanks for all.

This summer project had the following goals : to serve the empire at part time, doing something a summer and a self-proof that i was able to build an armor..

Who said that the knight could not have a shiny white armor? ^^
