    Great to hear you are aiming for Centurion, Andrew!  It's always best to build to Centurion standards right out of the box if that's what you are aiming for, as this will help assure you a better chance of getting to EI.

    Once you submit your EI photos, you might get some feedback from members as well as the DOs (Deployment Officers) suggesting minor tweaks to help you out.

    After EI approval, you would then submit for Centurion.

    Here is a thread that may help answer some of your questions:  https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35371-eib-and-centurion-what-do-these-terms-mean/

    Both ATA and AP are great choices for armor, but the final decision is up to you.  I would highly suggest checking out some of the approved Centurion submissions in this thread:  https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/, especially those with (ATA) or (AP) in the title.

    * Like this one: TK-72179 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status (ATA) [344]

    Thanks Joseph! I will read those links and look into the approved centurion submissions.

    FYI, I am currently finishing off my AP (authentic props) armor and his product is wonderful. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

    Glad to hear it Rob, I'll be sure to check out your build thread too!

  2. Awesome thanks for the support everyone! Time for a little update: I have been weighing my options for either an ATA or AP armor kit for centurion. Both companies appear to be great choices, now I just need to decide! I also have been doing more research here at the forums, looked at both the EIB and centurion submission forums.

    A few questions I have regarding EIB and centurion status is:

    -If I build my armor kit to centurion specifications can I submit it to EIB and get EIB status (Since from my understanding centurion has all EIB specs in addition to centurion specs)?

    -If approved for EIB, would I then have to submit to centurion to get centurion qualification (back to back on the same build)?

    -Is that how it works?

    I apologize if these questions have been answered already.

    Welcome aboard, if you are going to the trouble of EIB, Centurion is only a few more items and much easier to do from the start. Rather than having to pull things apart to later modify just do it my friend, do it and I promise you won't regret it. If there s one thing that FISD has thought me over the years, it is to never underestimate your own ability or anyone else's . You got this.

    Thanks Andrew, I will definitely look into the centurion and see if I should just take a bigger leap forward with this future build.

  4. Hello!

    @justjoesph63

    For my first TK armor kit, I plan to go for EIB. Once I gain experience from that build I will see about going for centurion next time! I’ve been reading about the long waits, it doesn’t sound all that good for someone who most likely won’t have the patience for a year, yikes! :huh: Ideally it would be great to get a kit within a few months, I am open to look at other places for armor besides Anovos. What I like about the Anovos kit is the armor is well within my budget for my first build. I can always hold off on getting the blaster until after and invest a little more in an armor kit. I will certainly be checking out the other armorers in the “Where to buy form..” and at build threads with the EIB builds. Awesome, I do have some of the common tools such as pliers, hammers, and a dremel. I will check the list to see what I am missing. ;)

    @gmrhodes13

    I like the idea of being more accurate than a standard trooper. Form what I have read so far the EIB sounds like it will be a fun challenge!

    @magni

    Sounds like you know from experience to have more magnets! This week I will be going through the list Joseph posted and start gathering all the tools and accessories. As soon as I acquire my first TK parts, the build tread is going to get a new thread. :D

    @allan1313

    Did you have to wait almost a year for your Anovos to arrive? Do you think it was worth waiting for it or would you have gone with another vender if you were to do it again?

    @msouza

    Looks like I will be doing some more reading! More than likely my first trip will be to the fabric store and get started on the soft goods.

    @starsaber25

    To clarify, I have not ordered the Anovos or any other items. Just been considering them and seeing what other members might suggest on other armorer options. I will be taking another visit to the “get started page” with the approved venders and do some more research.

    One vender that I have come across is AuthenicProps, does anyone have any experience with them? I’ll be sure to check them out in the forms.

    Thank you everyone for the tips and suggestions! :duim:

  5. Hello everyone,

    My name is Andrew, I hope to join the 501st Legion one day and start trooping. For the past couple of weeks, I have been doing research to gather as much information as I can before I start my actual kit build. Based on what I have gathered, I plan on assembling the Anovos TK armor as ANH Stunt. When I build this kit I am aiming to achieve the Expert Infantry Badge. In the next month or so I will be starting my build thread. Here’s a breakdown of the pieces I plan to using for this build.

    Helmet & Armor – Anovos kit

    Soft goods – DIY*

    Boots – Tkboots.com

    Blaster – Hyperfirm E-11

    * I plan to buy black compression pants and shirt at a athletic store. The gloves I will buy separately as well, the neck seal I may attempt to create myself or find a member who does a better job.

    Am I off to a good start or is there more info and parts I need? Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    -Thanks
