[AP vs WTF]

So after waiting and waiting and ...  you know, for Anovos and getting stood up at the alter (another delay) I've decided to move on with my armor purchase.  

 

I've read through the myriad of pages on armor and such and found two manufacturers that I'm interested in:  Walts and AP.  

 

Any troopers out there sporting either of these guys suits give me pros / cons?   I'm leaning towards AP simply because of waist size 38-39 and I understand his fits better with no shimming but Walt seems to have a cult-like following on Facebook!!!

Why do you do this to the interior of the helmet?  

 

I'm a newbie waiting on his armor and not trying being a smartass just want to know why.

Same email.  The best part is that I sent them an email on Friday asking what the status of my order was since it was a summer ship (July 21 - September 21).  They said I was still on track!! Ha Ha!!!  Terrible service.  

 

So, I'm looking at AP and WTF.  Does anyone have opinion on either of those?

I'm in Lemont and just signed up here as well. I purchased a TK suit from Anovos at the celebration also!!

 

Good to see someone close by is looking to join the 501st.

 

Hello everyone. I took the dive yesterday at Celebration and ordered a kit from Anovos and talked to some 501st folks in your room. I am very excited to get started and begin the process of learning to complete my armor. This is something that has been in the back of my mind for a number of years and I finally decided to get started.

 

I am thinking over the course of the following year while I am waiting for my own armor, I could help out from time to time and attend some of the get-togethers where people work on finishing their armor. It would be nice to get familiar with the process and help other folks out.

 

The city I live by Joliet, IL does a rather large Star Wars day every year and I think it would be a chance to meet some of you. On another note, I have a white Jeep Wrangler that I have been adding some black trim to and my kids already call it a "storm trooper Jeep" - so I am thinking down the line I can put it in the mix as well.

 

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Where about are you located, when not at Celebration!

 

If you're looking for armour to get started I'd recommend you read up on here a lot first and stay away from eBay. There's some great kits available but sadly also a lot of rubbish! A little work up front can help prevent heart ache later.
