Thanks for all of the great tips & pointers everyone. I've been umming & aaahing over which way to go on kits.... the decision was made for me last week though when RS put up the 40 celebration kits. I dived straight in when I saw that so key decision number 1 was made! I'm looking forward to BBB day & starting my WIP thread.

I'm glad you didn't sell the bike Buz, bikes and troopers go together , Matlock Bath is a regular haunt of mine, now all I need to do is find a stormtrooper lid I can wear whilst riding my bike, white leathers, boots and gloves...... I'd be a biker scout..... or not lol

 

Seriously, look at the build threads on here , pandatroopers video tutorials, they are worth their weight in gold, and the tutorials on the UKG.... when I started looking at this I thought ..... no..... I can't do that .... (Like getting your knee down on a bike.... can I do that.... no.... erm.... yes.... it's really easy when you know how) but like knee down, it's easy.... well maybe not easy but possible, it's not as hard as you think, and the abs plastic is great to work with , and the tips, advice and encouragement you get from the guys and gals on here is priceless . Good luck in constructing your armour

Hi Stephen, Matlock Bath is just up the road from me, was out today but avoided MB cos of the bank holiday. Shame we can't do Stormtrooper bike kit!

[40th Anniversary RS kits: who got one?]

Having only joined the forum about a fortnight ago & been busy researching since then, this couldn't have come a better time for me. RS was on my list of potentials & when this broke it sealed the deal. Can't wait for BBB day & to start my WIP thread.

I also bike although not often enough these days, in fact for a fleeting moment I considered selling the bike to finance this little venture.<br>
