Hi James, your Belt looks great now, about the hovi tips, I think what Joseph was talking about recessed mesh was the type of mesh.

in the following phot you can see the mesh asked for high levels, it's a little wider in the spaces, not so bushy.

Another correction you may need is the outer ring must be  pinted white.

    Cheers

thanks, have got some new mesh and will fix this weekend.

Since you're aiming for centurion, there is an alignment issue i noticed with your belt. The ends of the ABS should line up with the edges of the canvas.

Its a small issue, but it was a little something that i missed on my armor and held up my centurion approval.

Hey mate, thanks for the feedback, do you mean edge of belt (top & bottom) should be the same width as belt?

If so it should just be a trimming fix, right?

  3. Thanks Joesph,

I have attached the 2 pics i think you need of ab buttons and the Han snap. I will have to adjust the Hovi mic tonight when i get home and will post that tonight.

I built the armor originally following steps for Centurion in the hope that getting there would be easier than having to go back and adjust a lot more things. Once this gets through intention is to go straight for Centurion. The belt actually usually sits high but the snaps have loosened over time, easy fix!

  4. I am currently getting all the parts together for my kit build and one of the subjects i have been researching is what electronics to use for the helmet? there are multiple options but no one seems to stand out as the best option.

I want to do the sound plus the static bursts and in the best way so i have no issues with volume, feedback and other little bugs. So what is the best setup? best option or at least the one with less issues? Any feedback or options from those that have been doing this for a while is much appreciated before going to the expense of purchase.

    Thanks

  5. Hi All,

My 2 kits are ordered and on the way am going for ANH HWT and Cantina Captain Sandtrooper, while waiting for the box to arrive i am going to get all the bits i need for the build anyone have a list of straps, clips, studs etc needed to reach level 3? if i am going to build might as well go highest from the start.

Also does anyone have a detailed build how to on the packs? or a list of what is used parts wise, have looked at all the pics and references most looks simple but want to be right. Again going for highest level for this so want to ensure parts are right

    Thanks

  6. There is lots around and thats what iam thinking just getting the add ons for the sandy suit but would be easier if the kit cam whole then not purchasing extra when not required. You have to register for every site you go on..LOL i have already checked out the MEPD, i will go for the full build from the start than doing adjustments later.

The sydney chapter is very quiet and website is hard to navigate and get any responses from but will keep trying.

    Thanks mate.

  7. I have been doing my research and looking around for over 2 months, i have decided i want to start with Sandtrooper and Heavy Weapons Stormtrooper kits. i have found a company called Atlantic Composite Products based in England. They make alot of kits, replicas, weaponry etc all of their reviews i could find seem to be good and the gear looks to be up to scratch. Anyone heard of them? dealt with them before i go with it?

Unfortunately no Aussie builders to save costs and shipping.

Also there is alot of stormtrooper kits to pick from but finding a Sandtrooper kit is another story, do i have to buy the stormtrooper kit and just buy the left knee pad and abs plate individually?

thanks all look forward to the responses

  8. WOW! thanks everyone for the support and feedback, i think i might take the leap and do both the sandtrooper and heavy weapons trooper as suggested by starsaber25 this will give me the best of both worlds...LOL

Researching the differences between the 2 suits other than finish and color etc is the only difference the knee plate and the ab format? if so is it possible to just buy a stormtrooper kit and get the sandtrooper extras as there seems to be less suit kits for sandtroopers?

And hi Jafo nice to hear from a fellow Aussie... would be good to have a local based support during the build.

  9. I am new to this and looking at the stromtrooper kits and variations and who makes what and what it entails and what is up to code, so much information...... LOL is there a site or somewhere that simply states the differences between each suit? like what makes a sandtrooper suit v stormtrooper, this would make life so much easier.

  10. There is a member selling a Sandtrooper outfit online here at the moment, trying to get in touch with him on it but no response yet. Thinking getting from here direct is a good option and save time and problems but i have been looking and there is so many options and variations out there, hard to keep up.

Would be good to find a kit no one goes for or hasn't tried yet?

  11. Well after watching Rogue One which i will say is an outstanding movie, it has reignited my love of Star Wars, i have watched again all of the movies even punished myself through the JaJa Binks episode LOL! i am doing some looking around and investigating into kits and armor and taking that childhood dream of having a full suit of my own. Looking at a Sandtrooper kit but will not limit myself to other options as we know choices are endless.

Looking forward to seeing what happens but have found this site an absolute wealth of knowledge!
