Actually just did a test fit and noticed that the S Trim (purchased from TrooperBay on an AP bucket) doesn't cover the bottom of the ears at all. In fact it only reaches to the edges of them. Is this an issue? Should I be trimming the opening to be wider to cover at least some of the bottom of the ears?

So how do you go about attaching the S neck trim? E-6000 carefully applied?
Also where are people putting the join. Trying to decide if it's best right at the back (where it's visible) or putting it under the vocoder where people are less likely to notice it due to the black?
Cheers

Hey Ben, welcome to FISD!
AP is a great armor set Are you planning on building it to EIB/Centurion?
I'm planning on at least EI. Centurion isn't much more, though I'm concerned about this point from the CRL for the abdomen as the buttons are a separate panel on the AP ab.
Abdomen armor buttons are integrated and painted directly on the armor.
- No separate buttons are allowed.

Hello, been lurking on these forums for a while. My name is Ben and I'm a Scout Trooper.
Hi Ben!
Anyway so yes, my first approved costume was a scout trooper and over Christmas I ordered a set of AP armour that should be winging its way here for sunny Toronto in the next couple of weeks.
So thought I'd just say hi.

I ended up just putting the S Trim on and yes it just sits in if you trim it nice and tight. The rest of it took me about a week to do and I'm pretty happy with the result. You can't see on the pics but the decals from AP ended up going on a little bubbly so I think I'll eventually take them off and just paint, but she'll do for now.
