1. Hey there,

I'm in the final stages of an RS Props ANH Stunt helmet build and am paralysed with fear... I need to paint the thin black penstripes around all the grey bits and am scared out of my mind!

Has anyone ever gone around it with a sharpie and then painted over that with enamel? It's fudging it, I know, but I'm thinking it might help me make the lines straighter than if I just lay down the enamel.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

  2. Hi all,

I am cobbling together an RS Props ANH Stunt Helmet kit and have a question.... I was watching the Trooperbay build videos on YouTube for guidance and noticed he got to a point where the helmet was all together and then he painted the entire helmet white (white plastic, he then painted white).

Can anyone let me know whether this is normal?

    Thanks!

  3. Stupid Question #1: I saw a helmet build video series by Trooperbay where he painted his helmet... Do you paint ABS? And by "paint", I mean, he painted the helmet white.

Stupid Question #2: Why doesn't RS have any online video assistance?

Stupid Question #3: The RS kit arrives with so many rough edges (especially around the neck area). Do you trim all of this off or cover the rough edge with the neck seal?

Stupid Question #4: Paint the inside of the helmet black or leave it white?

    That is all

  4. Beginner here... Pardon what may well be a stupid question..

I purchased an ANH Stunt Helmet kit from RS Prop Masters. When it arrived, I opened the box and all of the labels that were affixed to the helmet and on the documentation say "Empire Strikes Back Stunt Helmet" (see photo). Also, the sticker set contains Episode V (ESB) helmet stickers. I plan to hand paint, so the stickers aren't so much a big deal as the fact I am unsure structurally whether the helmet itself is correct. RS have said "you have the right helmet" and the fact the labels refer to ESB was simply a print error..

Can someone who knows help me understand which helmet I actually have or has anyone else had this experience with RS? I don't want to start cutting into the plastic if it's not ANH and would hate to show up at an event and get laughed at for blending ESB ar our with ANH paint..

    Humbly yours
