I noticed that when the troopers were running down the gang plank in the introduction some of their cod pieces seem to flex and fold in on itself.

Unfortunately it is not, but it's worth going out to. I flew out for this from SF and I am glad I did. You are practically face to face with these suits.

If you find yourself in Denver between 11/13-4/2 go to the Denver Art Museum and see the Star Wars exhibition. They have 70 costumes from 7 of the films on display.(sorry no Rogue One) It is mostly Jedi and Prequel dresses but they do have the Fett's armor (father and son) the droids, rebel pilots, and of course Stormtroopers and the First Order. Once I can figure how to use photo bucket prepare for a very large photo dump.

I just got the Kelly Moore paints down by my house to do a match on my Anovos TFA helmet the other day. The employee put the color in there system so it should be available at any Kelly Moore paints. The color is label RAL 9016 or Traffic White.

I just ordered mine mine. It was just a little under 600.00 after taxes and to have it shipped to the Bay Area.

I have both and I have used both on my First Order armor and I recommend having both in your arsenal. The belt sander is great for shaping those large parts then I will use the small one for hard to reach spots and for detail spots.

Very interested.

That looks much better then mine.

I am just about done with my first suit of first order armor and I am seriously considering buying this one because of how much easier and cleaner this one looks.

If you cannot find that product in the US what I use to use to create a corrosion effect is when the paint or primer is still wet I would sprinkle fine salt onto the spots that I wanted the corrosion appear.what you did for the texturing on the helmet is ingenious! I hope to find the same stuff here in the US so I can attempt the same. I might use something else for the paint chips.

Here is the link I found of a photo that make me think they used some fabric codpieces (or leather) please look at the trooper coming down the ramp next to the trooper wearing the chest rig, see how the codpiece has folded in on itself near the right thigh. Also the trooper behind the trooper with the chest rig who is just starting to come down the ramp has his codpiece beginning to bunch up in there the front.

I was watching TFA last night when I noticed that the stormtrooper who pats down Poe has a black painted shoulder pad. It is not a pauldron because you can clearly see that it is separate part of the armor and it moves freely when he moves. Of course when he and the two other troopers are escorting Poe and you can see the troopers from behind he now has a pauldron on. I am wondering if this is a mistake or if the shoulder pad was intentionally painted black so that it allowed for better movement in the shot. (much like how some of the troopers had fabric cod pieces when they ran down the loading ramp in the beginning of the film.)

I still have my on pre-order at my local store. There has been some sort of delay in getting these out.

In building the suit it looks like the builders would benift from a slush casting technique rather then vacuum forming the suit. Also the define lines on the suit remind me of the first order stormtrooper armor rather then the original suits.

Sorry if this has been answered before on a other post but what is sludge and how do you make it?

Don't scare me like that I just got done paying for this. Just as a heads up he does expect the buyer to pay for shipping. Which is 130 for the USA and 140 for Australia. He is very good on returning e-mails and working with you.

Hello from SF California. My name is Garrett and I am 40 years old, after meeting the Golden Gate Garrison of the 501st at Silicon comic con this last year and getting the chance to talk with the members I instantly become hooked and knew this was something I wanted to be involved in. Since then I have been doing some research on the different kinds of suits I wanted to build and after wrangling in my excitement I have decided on attempting to build a First Order Stormtrooper suit as my first suit. I have already made the plunge and did a pre-order of a ANOVOS Premier First Order helmet and I have a ABS suit on order. I do have some crafting and building background experience and I have a small workshop that I have built up with the intent of crafting cosplay suits and armor, but I do have to admit that this is new territory to me so I may be asking a good collection of novice questions so please be gentle.
