1. Great! Thank you so very much.

I'm a touch OCD so I've started a "master list" of supplies as I read through build threads. And then editing as I think things like "oh, definitely using E6000 instead of CA".

    E6000 is definitely more forgiving.

  2. Hi! I'm Lindsey from Mississippi, and I am in the "research phase" before buying my first kit! This will be my introduction into the 501st and I want to do it proud. So, despite hours on FISD, the questions are piling up.

First, looking into an AP kit due to stature. (I'm 5'6", 170#). Sound okay?

I've been studying builds, and what I'm wondering is can I use someone's detailed build tutorial from a different kit? Like Cricket's for short people, but it's RS or I like the detail of NavajoBro's AM 2.0. I know each kit has idiosyncrasies and worried I shouldn't cross-reference.

Last question, for today, is when I take the plunge and buy the kit, I have a slight problem.... I won't be able to fit several of the pieces accurately for several months (the end of a 9month period while I'm making another loyal follower of the Empire)... so would you not do any glueing until the little TK arrives (and just trim, work on bucket/belt, TD)? Or can I glue front pieces (shins, thighs) and just size afterwards? (I realize this may be a problem not often encountered in the FISD..)

Thanks for any and all answers and support!!
Lindsey

Sadly I don't think am will be an option I think he is going to stop making kits

  4. Shane here just pre-ordered the Anovos TK kit due out in Jan. 2017.

I am an old guy and been a huge fan of SW since I saw it at 12 yrs old in Manchester, Missouri in 1977.

ESB is still my favorite though.

Looking forward to the build, getting approved and trooping.

Welcome. Definitly post pics of that one

  5. Hey everyone,

My name is Scott and I've been a member of the 501st since April. I have a TI Reserve and a Darth Nihilus approved already and thought it's time to give up sitting down. I've got a Anovos TK I'm going to be working on and look forward to not sitting and being a plastic space man.

  7. Member of the NEG here. Figured I'd get a jump start and join this hub of learning! Picked up a Black Series Rogue One TK bucket and plan of working on whatever modifications it'll need. Just one more step towards that glorious white armor, I suppose. Cheers!

    Howdy

  8. Welcome, Cathy! Great to hear that you have started out as a handler while you wait. Hopefully you have met Paul, our Imperial Attache for the Dallas area, http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/28945-strength/. He can help you with any TK build questions, and is there to assist you. Yeah, SW costumes are kinda' addicting... like Cheetos... but a bit more pricey.

    I have met A Paul... don't know if it's The Paul :)

  9. Hi Cathy and welcome to FISD! Make sure you head over to the 10x a day growing Star Garrison website and introduce yourself over there if you haven't yet. Take a look around at the getting started threads and you will find most of the information you are looking for over there. Ask any questions you may have. Have fun and good luck!

Thanks. I'm already on the Recruit page for them. and I've been volunteering as a Handler since June. I'm about 3/4 done with my Imperial Gunner build. I was warned that i'd start on my second build before i was finished with my first. *sigh* they were correct.
