  1.

    Hey everyone,

Alex here. Pretty new to the community. I just recently bought my first ever armor kit from ANOVOS, and I'm super excited to start building once it arrives. I've been perusing ukswrath's guide here, which I think we can all agree is pretty spectacular. While I'm waiting for my kit to show up, I decided to copy and paste all of ukswrath's posts into a Word document in order to create a single, comprehensive guide. I also did some formatting (including a table of contents) to try to make it look nice. I attached a first draft for you all to check out (both as a PDF and a Word document). Any feedback would be much appreciated! Maybe it's just me, but I think it'll be super handy to have a PDF on my iPad while I'm building so I don't have to browse through forum posts.

And thanks again to ukswrath for all of his hard work!

Here's the link to the Word document (the formatting will inevitably get a little messed up, but the raw material is there): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-d8yBFyd0CgY25VY25SNk1xZFE

  2. Well the BBB made it safe and sound last night.  Still trying to decide whether I will use snaps or traditional brackets for the torso portion.  I like the bracket idea, but many have said the Anovos armor is a little thin for that method.  With this being my first build, I kinda want to keep it simple.

  3. Welcome to the World of White, John!

Be sure to go over sign up on the Florida Garrison forum and introduce yourself. Naples is part of the Everglades Squad.

While you wait for you BBB, be sure to check out ukswrath's ANOVOS TK build for a play-by-play narrative of how the kit goes together. There are plenty of other excellent build threads that show how others have put their suits together.  There is also an excellent and active Anovos Build Group on Facebook.

Also, I found watching tutorial videos very helpful, to gain confidence before cutting any plastic.  Two that I enjoyed were from TrooperBay and Armor Building with TK1636. Your helmet will come assembled, so you can skip those videos!

Jump in and ask plenty of questions as you go! Most of all, Have Fun!

Thanks, wingnut65.  I am actually in North Naples/Bonita Springs - literally right on the border -  would Tampa Bay be closer?

  4. Just wanted to say hi from SW FL and thanks for letting me lurk on the boards for so many weeks.  There's a lot to learn!  I jumped in on some Anovos armor on May the 4th - no telling when it will arrive.  In the meantime I've been studying the build threads and enjoying the general discussion.
