  1. Now I understand that the Hovi Tips on the Anovos helmet will pass at any level, but to make them more accurate, it is good to change the mesh. I have this, is it sufficient or do I need something else? This is from a kitchen strainer, not a flour sifter.
  2. Black E6000 sealed the deal pretty well.
  3. CA or E6000 preferred/better? Too short to tie in knot.
  4. This happened when I started working the holster with my hands to break it in, so it will fit my HFX E-11
  5. The top thread of my holster has come un-done. It is still in the proper location, but will CA or E6000 glue work to keep it from working its way out?
  6. The march towards total screen accuracy continues...
  7. Mission accomplished. Also, my length should be good (7.5" with end caps on) mine is under 7.5" with them off, so with them on, it should be hovering right about 7.5"
  8. So glad I have some awesome advisors. I am not very mechanically inclined, so thx for the advice! I will give it a go, hopefully I can get those end caps off without damage. They went on pretty hard.
  9. The end caps are NOT glued. The fit was so tight that I just popped them on. Took some muscle to do so. But the plate is CA glued to the grey canister.
  10. Kman, its an easy fix for sure, but I installed those big phillips head screws (with the pointed ends on them) into the TD brackets already. Which now means, that the holes in the TD are much bigger than the screws from the ears are. Which means they will not fit in there securely now. And even if I did not mess that up ahead of time, the ear screws do not have self tapping, pointed ends on them. How would I get them into the TD? Would I have to drill holes? I jumped the gun on the TD assembly and blew it. Did not read UKSWrath's post on it before I did it. Ughh!~
  11. Once I cleanup the painting that I did, is this ok for the extended frown?
  12. I have not been able to find those anywhere. Is it required for EIB?
  13. Debating on changing the bra clips system on the shins for velcro. The gap seems just a little excessive to me, but not sure.
  14. So the position of the biceps will not allow me to have bicep clips, so this is how I had to rig them to keep them in place.
  15. So here is my TD canister...the screws ARE painted black. Like I said, not sure why they did not look that way in the photos. Must be because the photos are so huge when they post here, that they are grainy.
  16. K, Mark Sinclair had some good points over on the FB page. I was already to go, but anyways, I just wasn't feeling at ease about it for some reason. After thinking about it alot, I figured I can still do it later, so I think it will be better for me to finish my "Tweak" list, get official approval, troop a couple times, and see how things pan out. I also have to get my fans and electronics rigged yet too. I always tend to bite off more than I can chew, then I get overwhelmed. Just gotta get my list written down and take it one item at a time. I am also going to have to do a better job of storing the armor. I put it neatly into my bin (I thought), and when I brought it out to work on various parts, one of my thighs rear cover strip came a little loose, a corner of the knee ammo belt was bent a little, and had some other quick things I had to patch up. And I did not even troop yet~!
  17. Ok so eye flash is gone, and I removed the teeth paint to fix that... I was going to PlastiDip the bucket, but am having 2nd thoughts. Even though I prepped it. I think I will hold off for now.
  18. Does anyone know how I can make my photos not so huge when posting here?
  19. Thx KMan for these tips. Honest, I wasn't lying about all my struggles :-) Now, about the rear thigh peaks. If I round those off, that will force me to remove the return edge in that location but no where else, Will that be a problem? Also, I will have to trim some of the cover strip off and trim the corners again. Not a problem though.
  20. Not sure why my pictures come out so huge here. on Facebook they are fine. Here they are so huge they look grainy. I link from IMGUR 1) Paint the Thermal Detonator screws black. L2 suggested, L3 required I "painted" the screws with thick sharpie, so they are black, but they sure don't look like it in these pics. 2) Try to keep the biceps aligned. You may need to add a connecting strap to the shoulder bell if you haven't done so already. L2 & L3 suggested I am going to add bicep clips to keep them aligned and to keep them up. They kept coming down from the shoulder bells 3) Minimal to no gap between the kidney and back plate. L3 & L3 suggested (your's aren't that bad) I have the gap as minimal as I can, I think. I do have a little longer elastic in those Back to Kidney brackets, so i can try to go back to the 1" lengths and see 4) Foam behind the lower left thigh to prevent sniper knee contact. L2 suggestion Will put that in, was going to put some foam in front shin, behind sniper plate as well. 5) Install lower bell straps, to prevent them from flaring out. If you haven't done so already, I have lower bell elastic straps already in place, they just did not keep the biceps in place and up. Thus my need for clips. 6) Extend the frown, L3 required Will repaint frown 7) Replace Hovi screens, L3 highly suggested Already on my list 8) Hard to tell with these image but you may want to remove more eye socket return edge Yes, I still have to work on the helmet. Eye flash is definitely on my list. I also want to plastidip it, and I have to add fans, cushions, wireless mic and I will be changing the ear screws and painting them white Thx for these tips, I really appreciate it!
  21. Ok everybody, here we go. Be gentle ;-) I have already started a "Tweak List" but let me know what you think.
  22. You mean the top edge? I can just trim that correct? Because the bottom edge looks like it follows the edge fine.
  23. Tonight was going to be my first full fitting, but will have to wait one more "wake-up". Will get it done tomorrow AM and post pics for professional opinions~ Really excited to try it out, but also pretty nervous that my "tweak" list may be excessively long. Hurry up and wait, just like the Imperial Military.
  24. Sniper Plate done, hope its in the right alignment...
