Any ideas on boots fitting inside calfs?

Ok got some boots off Amazon painted them with angelus paint they turned out really nice and was really happy. Unfortunately the tops of the boots really won't fit inside the calfs. I haven't closed the rear yet but have glued the front with some extra space for this problem. I just don't see how this is going to work without the calfs being really fat and out of proportion to the thighs. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
Oh they are rs calfs.

I'm some way in to my project but struggling with lining up the kidney to the cod there doesn't seem to be enough curve on the kidney. I was wondering if there is a way of giving a little more curve? Or will it all come together once I complete the strapping system.

Cheers guys.

All I'm going to say is the real lenses aren't up to much so it sounds like they're spot on.

I'm on the same build and was trying to work out the same thing. Cheers for the tip.

Cheers guys.

I'm still in an early stage with my build and still getting a feel for the project. But it was obvious to me that I would be doing some mods to the thighs and calf's as I'm 3inchs to short. My question is should I build the rest of kit and get a rough fitting before I start any mods?
Cheers guys

Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave how's the build coming? I've just got the same kit from RS and was looking to start on the thighs but I hit a problem. Looking at your pics may have helped. It's how much return edge leave all round the thigh.I saw that you marked it with a pencil but did you measure it? Or was it a rough guess? Cheers.

That's awesome thanks Joseph.

I got my RS kit yesterday and they have already started trimming the flash of all the parts which I thought was quite a help. So I thought I would start with the thighs as I'm 2inchs shorter than the actors I thought this could be a problem. I kind of had a basic fiting and realised that the return edge was hindering a good measurement. So I was wondering what is the right amount of return that should be left? Then I thought about the rest of the parts is there a basic amount or does it varie through out the kit?
I hope this makes sense? Cheers guys.

Hey guys and gals just saying hi from Northamptonshire. My RS armour arrives in a couple of days I'm so excited and more than nervous about putting it together. I've been lurking around checking most of the howtos, mods and vidz and I'm sure I'll have loads of questions wants the project is under way.
