Wow... well said, Jeff!  Glad to hear that you are heading toward HWT...but then again I am a bit biased.    If I can be of any help with your Heavy Weapons endeavor, just let me know.

A buddy of mine is a sandy and he keeps teasing me saying "Come on, get dirty!" And I tell him, "Come on, take a bath!"    

 

I do need to find a source for the extra shoulder strap I'll need for the tube on the backpack.  I believe that's the only piece left before I start the build.

[TK Hitting His Stride]

I joined the 501st at TK 22007 in May of 2016.  I am a very proud member and extremely happy to be part of the Midsouth Garrison (Kentucky/Tennessee).  I live at the border of the territory for the Ohio Garrison and Bloodfin Garrison (Indiana) and I have spent a little time with some members of the Midwest Garrison (Chicago).  I have met so many great people in the organization across all of the garrisons and really appreciate the comraderie, partnership, spirit and friendships.  About four months in and I already feel completely comfortable with my TK attitude and presentation.  I specialize in humorous engagement with fans and have been recoginzed by a lot of other troopers for being a little bit of a leader in terms of rallying activities during trooping events as well as a very high level of fan engagement.

I came to FISD because....what good TK would NOT join?  

I appreciate the dedicated approach to the TK-universe, the shared wisdom in the forums and, of course, the swag and gear available.  

I already have my first garrison trading card that includes a proudly filled-out list of trooping events and I'm happy to report that I have my ANOVOS armor set, custom-trimmed/fitted and accessorized internally and am happy to say that I barely have any armor bite issues already.  I am currently working on getting the final parts needed for the HWT backpack to follow ukswrath's epic build thread and hope to apply for that version by year's end.

I feel like I've missed out on this game for way too long but I'm extremely grateful to have arrived to it, to contribute to the cause of the Legion and to have found the community offered here at FISD.

[Pauldrons and TK'S?]

I'm still gathering the final pieces for my HWT backpack but when there are a bunch of TKs, I typically wear my (black) pauldron and strap on the ammo pouches and carry the DLT.  

There are two reasons.  First, so my wife can find me easily during troops, especially conventions when it's super big and super crowded and we get separate while trooping.  Second, again during conventions or large troop turnouts, I do so because I tend to be seen as the organizer (almost leader) by a lot of the others.  My personality tends to be more outgoing and organizational.  Several of the guys have even called that out about me saying that "everyone gravitates to [me]."  So since I tend to be the one "leading" several others, it only feels right from a visual perspective for the fans' benefit.

Speaking of the HWT backpack, does anyone have a recommendation on the best source for the spare shoulder strap I need for the tube?  That's the last physical part I need to start my work.
