+1 on stirring to humbrol paint ALOT... and then some more :-P. I'd avoid shaking the can, alot of paint builds up on the lid and gets sloppy when you open it.

I'm using a combination of MICH padding and some thinner black cloth covered foam padding. The MICH padding works great in the front and sides of the helmet. I found it to be too thick to use on the crown and back though. The round crown pad made the bucket ride up too high, and using the mich padding all the way around the inside made the fit way too tight. The fact it sticks to the hookside of Velcro is awesome, really handy for adjusting the fit.

Bucket looks good! Happy to hear I was able to help. Paint looks solid.
Here's the pic of the frown end, a little late but...

There's a slight gap between the helmet and the mic tips on mine. I had to experiment with the final hole size for the posts and holding the tips while tightening them down in order to get them to sit as tight as possible and straight. It took a little time but I'm pleased with how they turned out and the gap isn't noticeable without putting your face right up against the helmet and looking for it.

I'll try to get a pic of the frown and tips on here later to show you.

I had that same problem when I painted the frown on my ata bucket. Following the frown as molded looks wonky. So I removed the paint from the left side end (right side when looking at it) and tried to mimic the end point of the right side (left when looking at) as best I could so that the frown looked even when seen as a whole. I was much happier with the overall look when finished.

Other than that, your bucket's looking good so far.

I'll second the Meguiar's. I used it while following Pandatrooper's build thread and it worked great.

You can buy MICH padding on Amazon. The set I bought recently came with black pads and velcro dots for around $20.

Hi everyone, my name's Chris.

Ever since watching ANH as a kid I've always wanted a set of stormtrooper armor, but never knew how to go about it. I stumbled upon this site just before Christmas, and WOW there's alot of information here.

I've since ordered and completed my ATA bucket to troop ANH. Big thank you to Pandatrooper and gazmosis for their tutorials, you guys are awesome. I'm currently on the waiting list for ATA armor.

I've lurked on the Titan Garrison forums but haven't introduced myself yet, but am looking forward to completing my armor and getting involved with all the great charity work the legion does.
