Here are some pictures of the kit to show that I have it in hand.

I'll see what I can do with the pictures. I just moved across country and my life is a bit of a disaster. I don't have internet access at my apartment, but I'll figure out a way to post up some pictures.
To answer the few questions that I've gotten about the armor: no it hasn't been painted, and the only extra plastic is for the strips on the legs and arms. It shouldn't be to hard to find some scrap plastic to use for shims though, as you'll be painting everything to begin with.

I hate to sell this, but since I moved across country a few weeks ago, money is a little tight right now and something's got to go. So, I've got a fully trimmed TK kit that is ready to be assembled out of the box. The only thing that the buyer might want to do is sand a few edges, but this shouldn't be too necessary. I have also not trimmed the edges that need to be glued, so this kit should fit anyone (within reason). I am asking for $900 shipped within the continental US or best offer. Thanks for looking. Let me know if you are just dying to see pictures, and I'll see what I can do.
e.PS This kit will not be including a helmet. TE2 or any number of other makers should be able to hook you up with the sniper knee plate which is the only truly necessary addition to the kit to convert it to a TD.

I've always just used a layer or two of window screen mesh behind my frown. Not screen accurate, but looks the part.

Too cool! Welcome to the ranks Matt!
-
Should the strips be trimmed to a smaller width for the arms? I seem to remember them being a different size on both my TM and AP.
-
Too cool! I love the addition of the patch! Very accurate representation too!

Good luck with the sale, Mike! New owner will be one lucky person!

I am selling off one of the AP helmets in my collection. The under coat is Krylon Fusion River Rock Satin to mimic the look of an HDPE helmet. Latex resist was then used before the white paint to add simulated paint chips where I felt the helmet would naturally wear and loosely based on actual helmets. The white paint is Rustoleum White applied thickly to add paint drips and runs similar to several of the screen used helmets. All details, including tube stripes, are hand painted with Humbrol Gloss Enamels: Black 21, Grey 5, and Blue 14. I have also scuffed the helmet around the paint chips and added black scuff marks. The lens is green acetate, the mic tips are Stomper's HOVIs, and the frown has mesh screen material behind it. If you would like other detail photos, I can take some upon request. I am asking $450 OBO. Please PM for details. Hope I can find a good home for this helmet!
::EDIT:: I'll paint the TK stripes in the traps and tears for free if the buyer would prefer. ::EDIT::

No. You can also get them from Dan111h20 on Ebay.
Or the easiest route - just buy a pair of jodhpur boots (most anywhere carries them) and dye them white. This is what they did for the movies, and what I'm using now.
Jodhpur riding boots can usually be found for less money than CABoots on ebay too.

Paul (Troopermaster) once told me a nice trick to fill holes.
Warm up a piece of abs (heat gun, hair dryer, boiling water,...) and then, take the piece with anything but your hand, place it behind your hole and push it in. This will push the warm ABS inside the hole and the only thing left to do is to glue the ABS in the back of the armor.
Simple trick!
I'd like to see pictures of how that works out. I would think that you would end up with a small indentation where the plastic doesn't quite fill the hole.

GINO said:I've got a better idea. Prove to me it's not, and you can have mine.
Only talking about his faceplate mind you.
I've been trying not to get into this, but here goes... You and I went round and round for 3 days via PM and you still never told my why you feel that the TM face plate is a recast. The best that you could say on the subject was that Paul tried his hand at modeling some of the harder parts and then gave up and recast said parts and then reworked them so that he could call them his own. The TM helmet that both Mike and Seth have held and compared to a TE, TE2, and AP is MY helmet. I call BS as well. Enough of the dimensions are off just the smallest bit that it is EXTREMELY obvious in person that the helmet can't be a recast. I'm in no way saying that Paul's helmet is a poor helmet. By far the opposite. I like it better than the other two helmets I own. </rant>
So I lied... I do have one more thing to say:
