  1. I had Darman build a holster for me for my se14r. It looks almost exactly like the one pictured. My question is, if the holster is on the left side of the belt like pictured, it's backwards. The blaster fits in both directions. Should the butt of the gun face forward or backward? The way the holster is built, it almost looks like it should sit butt out. Opinions?

  2. Cut the raised edges in the back that indicate the overlapped area, then butt join them the screen accurate way?

This is what I'm doing. It looks like the calves will be way too wide though. I need them to fit more snugly. Thats why I was questioning if I should use elastic on the inside.

  3. I'm trying to finish this build and I'm having some issues with the calves. I understand that the AM calves overlap backwards and I need remedy that. My problem is that I have skinny legs. If I use the clamshell technique I think the calves will look too big on me. How do I make the circumference of the calves smaller and keep them that way while wearing them? I was thinking of maybe using elastic on the inside to pull them together? Tips please!!

  4. I tried searching but I'm not sure if I'm wording it correctly. Having gone from an FX kit to an AM I'm confused as to what I do with the kidney plate. Does it sit in between the butt and back? Overlap one or the other? I also remember seeing something about rivets on the sides but now I can't find that thread either. Where do the rivets go? I guess what I'm saying is I'm just not sure what connects where in that region. Help!!!

  5. I can't remember if I've posted an introduction or not, but I'm back on the boards. I just sold my FX and bought an AM kit. This will be my third Star Wars costume, having built a Boba Fett a long time ago. Anyway, my name is Michael and I hope to finish this armor and join the ranks of the 501st in the near future. If there are any locals that want to lend a hand or words of encouragement during the build, let me know!!! I want to do it right this time. The last set of armor truly looked half-assed.

  6. Hi everyone. My name is Michael and while I'm new to this site I have been a member of the RPF and TheDentedHelmet for more than a few years. I started in this hobby by doing a Boba Fett costume. Never really feeling satisfied with it I ordered an FX kit two years ago and have been tweeking it ever since. I recently purchased an MR CE helmet and found this board while shopping for help on modifying it. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys.
