I'm a staff photographer at a daily newpaper and got permission from my editors to write occasional blog entries on my journey towards becoming a Stormtrooper.
First one went up today.

I started out with a Hasbro with a Doopydoos mod, (usually available on ebay). Then, I upgraded to the Doopydoos full resin kit, and honestly could not be happier. The only thing I didn't like too much was the wait, (almost 6 weeks from the UK for the full kit). Hyperfirms are awesome, (I have a DLT-19) because you can almost run over it with a truck, and it still looks great. Those are the only two I am familiar with, but I know there are others, and perhaps someone else can give you a few more options. Hope that helps!
Any idea where you can get the hyperfirm ones?

Ok ... As I wait for the Anovos armor to arrive, I've got a number of months to look into blaster and boots.
Question on the blaster end ... What are the best sources?
Been looking and heard hyperfirm is good but can't find that sold anywhere.
Where should I be looking?

Welcome to the world of white armor, Mike! Like Tim said, it would be wise at this point to use your wait for "Big Brown Box day" to start getting everything you need in place... Supplies, (E-6000 glue, rare earth magnets, clamps, et al). As for boots, there are several sources out there that provide quality products, (TKboots, Imperial boots, etc.), and for blasters, it depends on how far you want to take the build. If you are shooting for Centurion, (recommended), you can choose Doopydoos, Hyperfirm, or other options. Just remember that it can take time to receive these items. One of the first things I learned on here was "hurry up and wait", but I assure you, it's well worth it. Best of luck to you in your TK build, and don't be shy about asking questions... that's what we are here for!
Already working on it ... and finding the search for shows and blaster .... whether completed or a kit ... a mystery in itself.
Finding some blasters out there but not sure they are up to spec and DoopyDoos seems to be out of the E11 kit.
Regarding shoes ... Getting ready to go forum diving to see what's in here before I sail into that one as well. Did see a post that made it sound like there's a waiting list for certain types of the preferred .... or think that's what I read.

Hello from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia!
I've been wanting to join for some time and finally just ordered an armor kit from Anovos.
Likely will be several months before it arrives, but excited none-the-less with much to do to get ready.
Looking forward to serving the Empire.
Thanks,
--- Mike
