Here is some of my WIP.
As you can probably see, I have roughly trimmed everything.
My bucket is pretty much empty and ready to be refurbished -

Thanks for the replies! I got super busy with work the past few weeks and now I'm heading back to school until December when I graduate. I'll probably pick back up on this next April or so after next tax season has ended. Hopefully these places will still be in stock!

Quick question for anyone who's done a sterling conversion! What was your experience in finding the parts needed to build an ANH E-11 with either a kit for a Sterling L2A3 or somehow finding a deactivated one here in the states? I understand that in the UK it's much easier to find a deactivated weapon but in the US it can be quite tricky. Thanks for any input!

Yup! No worries, it was hard to explain without a picture. Snaps don't last forever so it's always a good idea to make it replaceable

Exactly. The back part snap will just hang out in between and have space between it and the armor. (Thanks to Spacebrew who taught me that one.)

You can also cut small pieces of shim or cover and glue it to the underside (on both sides of the snap but not over it) so the metal part doesn't touch the armor...

Hi all!
I was going through the CRL today and I was wondering what the differences between the Hero & Stunt builds were. I was only able to find a couple of things (Number of blue bars on face, Number of teeth cut out and maybe the shape of the eyes?, as well as you could replace the thermal detonator with the grappling hook/comlink with the Hero build). Could anyone help explain some of the other differences?
The reason I was wondering because I watched ANH last night and really wanted to do a build with the grappling hook/comlink...

I've been looking at this link for THGProps for my blaster (--------), and I had a couple of questions.
1. What's the difference between Resin and Rubber cast?
2. Does anyone have experience with THG?
I've also read about Hyperfirm blasters (Sci-Fire guys) but I'm having an awfully hard time trying to find info on them. Thanks for any input and help!

I'm a BYU student (graduating in December) and I'll be up there from mid-June til Christmas. I've bought the ANOVOS kit so I won't be able to work on it until I come back to California, but I've been debating on buying an E-11 blaster and working on it up there during my down time. Maybe we could meet up and talk about how the build is going and any advice? In any case, welcome aboard!

Those are good points you bring up, hon143! In my case, I was just trying to scope things out and find what I would need.
Would it be a better idea just to get the blaster and boots for now and wait until the kit is delivered to know what else to get?Helmet electronics I've heard are really nice to have when trooping, especially with the fans to keep cool in the bucket.

I'm waiting to hear back from TKBoots (Just sent them an e-mail today). I'll be getting my blaster from a site up in Oregon ---------------- the armor kit from ANOVOS, and some electronics for my helmet (Mic, speakers, sounds amplifiers to hear) from VoiceBooster. Super excited to do this, just gotta wait for everything to be ready and come in!
I'll be going back to school and graduating in December, so starting late '15, early '16 I should be getting my stuff together. (Barring I can do it before Tax Season gets crazy!)
BTW - It looks like the ANOVOS will be for ANH - Stunt and not Hero just from looking at the CRL for the helmet. Anyone have thoughts on that?

Quick question!
I've heard that there can be some hiccups buying gear overseas and I've noticed that there are a lot of armour makers out there. I'm from California (6'0" 175 lbs) and kind of leaning towards ROTJ style or maybe ANH - Hero. Would y'all have any advice? I've looked at ATA, TM, and CFO in particular. I'd like to get good gear make the additional changes to get it up to Centurion to avoid having to upgrade later on. Thanks mucho guys!
P.S. Also - any advice on E-11 Blasters? I've noticed a lot of people tend to make their own.
