  1. A helmet question that I can't find an answer for in the CRL and I'm not sure if it's just another asymmetric thing. Here are pics of the sides of the helmet brow.

Notice the black brow strip doesn't end at the same place. Anyone else have this issue and is this acceptable? Thanks!!

I just took it off and slid it over a bit.

  2. Working on thermal detonator. You will need to taper the the ends of the grey tube to get the caps on. I hand sanded the caps to make sure they were symmetrical. Be very careful you don't go to far like I almost did. I was using 180 grit and it went really fast.

  3. So as everyone knows the belt will not work. I was checking out what Dboz did with his by taking his apart. Unfortunately my belt had a butt load of glue on it and I ripped all three out. Now I'm not sure if I can still use this or if I will need to order a new ammo part of the belt.

  4. I just happened to be working the anovos pannel at C7 and was able to speak with both guys that run the company, very nice guys.I specificly asked if the price point for the TFA kit would be simular to the ANH kit. He said that the ANH is being made in China, and at least for now the TFA would be made in USA. That is the main reason for the large difference in price at this time. I ordered the ANH kit, I hope that they have good quality contol in China.

  5. Hi All,

My name is Matt and I am from San Diego. I started trooping in an X-wing costume at San Diego Comic-Con in 2004. I have added a Jedi, RFT and debuted my Kanan Jarrus and Celebration Anaheim. I have wanted to join the 501st for years I just did not know what costume to build as my first.  I have known some guys that mold armor but have been scared by the price and how good is their stuff really?

While at Celebration, I was working the behind the scenes stage area. I was able to see some great panels there. The ANOVOS panel was my favorite. I was able to learn a lot and even able to meet the CEO and other panelist. In fact Kevin, that molded my Kanan was also who helped do most of the TFA armor for Celebration and ANOVOS. Seeing that they had unrestricted access to scan original "Hero TK" I know that theirs will be the most accurate out there. I have just pre-ordered the kit and I know it will be a while for delivery but I am already excited!

I look forward to learning from you all.
