Tim And Tony....I cant thank you enough!!! Sooo after a long convo with tony...I think we have found the route for me...ALL or nothing...without sacrificing comfort....got a new ata bucket, chest ,ab, and back on the way....then we will fine tune it from there. Steve once I have all my parts I will take detailed pics of each piece pre build and post here for any final yay's or nay's before trim, fit, and paint job! I cant thank you all enough!! I am slowly backstroking it out of the vast pool of knowledge with the help of my fellow troopers!

Hey James welcome to the FISD sir great to have ya .
You've received some great advise here, in addition I've built AM/FX armor all the way to the top (as you call it). If you're interested in some help just shoot me a PM.
Good luck sir.
I think you're going to be fine, James!
Be sure to ask any questions that come up. We're here to help, take advantage of our knowledge, use what we know, and your journey to the dark side will be completed!

Do you know how i can check this bucket and make sure its not the old one that is too bigHi James, and welcome!! Looks like you have a jump on everything, including attending the armor party. I just went through an AM build recently, and can help you out where I am able. I would HIGHLY recommend looking in the "Recently Added Tutorials" on the upper right hand corner of the main page. Look for HOWTO: Assemble AM armor shins by Roguetrooper. Do you know how old this armor is? There are a few things in the kit that are different than mine, i.e. the neck seal is not S shaped, and the Thermal detonator tube is blue, not gray. Easily remedied differences, though. One word of caution, and you will hear this repeatedly, but measure twice, (or 4 times), cut once. While you are doing your research, I would suggest starting a build thread . Post LOTS of photos, and ask LOTS of questions. Invest in some rare earth magnets, clamps, and lots of E-6000. Most of all, have FUN with it!

Is there a thread anywhere that give the measurement of the old one unassembled...??
-
What was not approvable about the old one....i am having a hard time finding some good tutorials on am/fx assembley
-
thanx guys....Justjoseph63....I will take you up on that for sure....and I am gonna measure 4 times ask 2 more questions about it...measure 2 more time.......and make one last double check and then cut....lol
