Greetings Chris, and welcome to the FISD!!!
It is always fun for me to see how members manage to "find" the Legion and the FISD. Thank you for sharing your story!
AP is a good kit, but I do hope that you're on the thin side, otherwise, you'll become familiar with the "shimming" process soon enough!
As you've already got a kit on order, I'll bypass sending you to the Getting Started section and instead head to the Advanced Tactics Section to learn about the EIB and Centurion programs for increased accuracy of the armor. Even though it is possible and not incredibly difficult to upgrade the armor to the standards after the fact, it is easier to simply build your kit using the standards as your guideline from day one!
Hello and thanks for the warm welcome. I am really excited to get started on my AP kit, it should be shipping in the next few weeks. As for my size, I'm a slim 190 lbs. and stand about 6'1" so hopefully I won't have to get into to much shimming but I figure I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I have not decided yet weather i'm going to go EIB or Centurion, but it will be one of those two options.
Looking forward to joining the ranks and Trooping!
Chris.

Thank you for the reply tolo. Is your friend tall in the torso area? Im tall in my legs, I took a measurement of my torso from just below the waist (crotch area) to about my Adams apple. It's roughly 27-28", will I have this issuue with gapbetween the kidney and back plate you think?

Chris.

Hey Chris, if you haven't already done so, be sure to sign up on the Outer Rim Garrison forum as well. Get started on a blaster to help kill some time.
Thank you, another BC boy I see, good to meet you! I signed up with the Outer Rim a few weeks back, looks like a great Garrison.

Hi, my name is Chris. I'm from beautiful British Columbia Canada. I'm 36 and have been a fan of Star Wars my whole life. Not to long ago I started looking into Stormtrooper Armour for Display in my Man Cave so i hit up google and started searching. That's when i ended up at the 501st. I had no idea about the 501st or the thousands of passionate members, I was hooked right away and knew I had to be a part of this. I think the camaraderie of this organization is nothing short of amazing. I am currently awaiting delivery of my first kit from "AP" and am looking forward to getting started, Any Help, Pointers, and Tips will be greatly appreciated. I will start a build thread as soon as get underway.
Cheers!
Chris.

I was wondering how the boots fit? I understand half sizes are not available, my feet measure just shy of 11.5". The seller said they run a bit long, so should I get the 11's or go up to the 12's? I don't want to be swimming in these things, nor do I want them to be way to tight.
