I just can't bring myself to pay two month's mortgage for an item that I may not receive for well over a year!

There was a time that I played guitar in a band and I was adamant that all my effects pedals be analog and not digital. I ordered an echo effects pedal and ran it through a wah-wah and a volume pedal, plugged in my guitar and started jamming. My bandmate quipped that it sounded like analog doom!
I liked the term so much that I started to use that as my nickname, which got shortened to Doom, and then eventually morphed into Doomius!
So there you have it lol!

There you go... eFx on the right, Anovos on the left :
Edit: sorry, misread your post but still nice to see

These boxes weigh 23lbs, so I doubt they're soft parts
I should learn to read all posts so that I don't post almost the same reply

Just be aware, soft parts may arrive first... Don't let it burst your bubble if they do. Bills travel faster than other mail, it may be the same for soft parts too...
The shipping weight is 23 pounds...that's a lot of weight if soft parts LOL!

C'mon guys... Let's give the chance that we may like the armor! I agree that change in the return and refund policy needs clarifications, but it's seems like a lot of people it's eager not to like the kit and thinking about returning it or cancelling the order even before it has reached their doors! Of course three or four hundreds is money, but after almost ten months of wait I am anxious to get the suit... And I am not thinking all the time that it will suck.<br>
Stay optimistic!
Don't get me wrong, I thing the armor will be fantastic however, all we have seen to date are prototype photos and stacks of armor fresh off the assembly line. I am very optimistic that Anovos will knock this out of the park but there is always that slight possibility that there could be quality issues...especially when manufacturing in bulk.
I most likely will not cancel my order and will wait anxiously for BBB day to arrive, maybe it's a sign that my tier is set to start shipping on my birthday, Feb 15!

i guess the good news is that those of us in the later shipping tiers will get a good idea whether or not the quality is worth it with plenty of time to cancel if not. I am optimistic that Anovos will deliver and we should know soon enough!

Got a nice surprise today to find out that my Doopy Doos kit came in early today while the Royal Mail was telling me it was still in Chicago!
So without further ado, here is the unwrapping of the brown box!
I am a little concern that some the pieces looks to have fell into a pool of melted resin. Would it be pretty easy to sand down on the side to remove the excess?
It will most likely be 3-4 weeks until I actually start the build...finishing up my bachelor's degree this summer and it is pretty much eating up all my free time right now. Also gives me some time for T-Jay's completion kit to arrive!
-
Placed my order on the 26th and just received a tracking number this morning! Also placed an order with T-Jay for the completion kit at the same time...it's a race to see which get's delivered first LMAO!

I was able to get an order in as well!
Can't wait to start my build, it will give me something to do until I get my Anovos order LOL!

Got my order placed on May the 4th, now patiently awaiting it's arrival sometime this year...

Those videos are great, when did these air?

Hey, I recognize Anakin...he was my server there for Clockwork Orange!
Great photos...so awesome that all this happens literally 5 minutes from my house!

Thanks Tim for the suggestions and will definitely join up with the Star Garrison's Facebook page. I thought being a handler will be a great way to get to know the troops as I await my big brown box! Been looking through a lot of the threads on the blaster and boots and thought TK Boots were the way to go as well, I will be placing an order today.
Hey Daniel!
You were thoroughly convincing and even got my wife into looking into joining the 501st in some fashion...I suggested perhaps an Imperial officer lol! I'll be working the Fan Expo on Friday and will most likely be down either Saturday or Sunday as well so I'll be looking out for ya!

The hardest part will be waiting for big brown box day! I may try to volunteer as a handler for events until then...it's gonna be a while LOL!

Greetings everyone!
For the last several years, I have been wanting to get into trooping and join the local Star Garrison of the 501st, but alas time, money, and other commitments kept me from pursuing this. That is until Anovos had an offer that I just couldn't pass up, coupled with the fact that I am finally finishing my degree this summer which means I will now have the time to pursue a dream of mind.
I have attended several of the local conventions and other events attended by the 501st and it gives me goosebumps to think that I may actually be able to join their ranks (eventually given the timeframe for deliveries at this point). I can't think of a better way to volunteer to do some good and bring cheer to the lives and children and those that are childs at heart.
It is such a great time to be a Star Wars fan, went to a charity screening of Fanboys last night surrounded by fellow fanatics, 501st members, and friends and the camaraderie and excitement from everyone I met really convinced me that now is that time...that and a member of the 501st who told me that I might regret not getting my pre-order in before midnight (this was at 10:45 so I had an hour and 15 minutes before the price doubled!)
Now I have even more reason to be excited for December, and I am sure I will be lurking in the shadows and posting here and there until then!

i decided to pull the trigger shortly before the cutoff after hearing high recommendation from a local 501st member hear in Dallas! Seriously at $350, you really can't beat that price if the sculpt is as good as the photos. This will be my first armor since I just don't have the time and resources to craft one myself and have been wanting to get into trooping for a long time...I'm finishing my bachelor's degree this year which will give me all the time I need to customize the kit before December (that is if we get it in time!)
I feel like I just took a step into a much larger world!

to reiterate what others say, AM armor is a great quality kit and made to fit the larger trooper. The vendor lives in texas and I believe costs around $750 with shipping. There are plenty in my garrison who where his armor and quite frankly, I am jealous of them!
