I have gotten a few replies already and things are definitely rolling now! I want to contact TM as well. Thanks guys! Yeah there are so many options that is part of the overwhelming-ness. I started this idea last year after taking my family to Star Wars days at Disney (headed back next week). My avatar pic is with one of the disney guys (wonder if I can just talk one of those guys out of his suit hahaha). I think it will be awesome once I finally get "trooping"

Hey guys! Great site! I have been looking into getting armor for the past year and even emailed 2-3 of my local 501st garrison members from the website, but never had a single reply. I'm located in Asheville NC so that would be the carolina garrison. 

 

Given that I thought I had found a decent set of armor at stormtrooper-costumes.com but after reading up here recently I realize that doesn't meet the requirements. I have no issues learning and researching, but I do have limited time due to work, family and other hobbies. I am studying a ton for a private pilot certificate currently (alot to learn here as well). Given that what is the best thing to do/start with? I would love to get my white armor and entertain some trooping.
