    It seems to me that the huge rush to order and pay for the Anavos armour is dumbing down our hobby tremendously . We have spent the last few years with screen accurate armour available ( ss skunky, RS Propmasters ) and we are rushing lemming like into non screen accurate tat , mainly because of the cheap price . Anavos is setting our hobby back years , we might as well all dig out our ancient FX suits and give up on screen accurate all together .

    This forum is better than Anavos.

    Having seen the awesome talent from the established makers of RS Propmasters, would you say the same quote if RS was a new company? I mean, if RS started today and gave a low initial price to help offset future production costs, would you have given the same 'lemming and dumming down' statement? Without a completed product, guessing is our best option. Your statement seems a little unfair to the droves of future troopers that purchased a 'possible' great product. You are basing you statement off of the initial price. This will be my second kit (AP was my first), and I'm excited to see the all new members! Let the hazing begin lol! J/K!

    That is not good news at all!

     

    Can someone high up in the food chain contact ANOVOS and get some clarification?

     

    I ordered my kit and it is supposed to ship at the end of the month.

    Would they also inquire about the TFA helmets that they are selling as a separate item for $200? Hopefully not thinner plastic. Thanks

    I just asked emailed Chad (@ Diamond State Props) and asked him if they were making a T21 also. His reply:

     

    "Hi Don! Thank you! We really appreciate the support of our small business. Thank you for your compliments! A lot of work went into this rifle. Now I can't wait to get it out to you. 

    We have had interest in the T-21, but it's not on the docket quite yet. If someone does want to commission us to do it in the near future, I'll let you know. I'll keep you updated on your build."

    Thank you, Derrek! I'm currently with First Tank ("WHO YOU WITH?").

     

    I feel like the oldest kid in my favorite candy shop! Seeing the great collection of personal armor on these forums is truly amazing! The attention to detail and craftmanship of every individual's build(s) speaks volumes for this group!  

     

    I have begun my search for many of the items you have recommended. And I have also sent PMs for armor price quotes. I have a month left here in Korea, so I was hoping to get an idea of total costs and timeframe for delivery of armor.

     

    Fortunately, my most important questions have already been answered..... Is this what I want to do and will this be a long term commitment? YES

    Your comment actually reinforced my decision! Thanks, TM was my first choice. I do understand that costs may exceed my wife's expectations..... :laugh1:

    I am 5'9" and approximately 180 lb, so I would guess my build would be compatible with most armor. I am very anxious to get started, and I would be very receptive to Paul's products.

    Thank you for the welcome! This has been something I have wanted for a very long time, but with deployments and numerous Army moves, it has only now become a reality. This is my retirement present to myself and I would be grateful for any suggestions to get my build going in the right direction. Great thread by Daetrin regarding the different armor reproducers, it was definitely a very helpful starting point. Again, glad to be here!
