There should be a layer of plastic film protecting the ABS. If you pull that off, the dust and dirt should go with it. Also, it's immensely satisfying to pull off the plastic film!
Oh, of course. I totally forgot about that in my excitement. Thanks!

Just picked mine up from the FedEx office! I had it sent there in case I was at work when it came. I ordered April 21st.
Now to try to inventory it all before I have to go to work, just in case.
There's some light dust/dirt on some of the pieces it seems, especially the chest. Anyone else run into this? -
Awesome. Thanks DarkTrooper.

Taking for granted for the sake of the question that this will be a worthwhile suit, do you think it would be possible to modify it to fit someone 5'6" and around 135 lbs without too much trouble?
I realize it's completely conjecture at this point but just tossing it out there.

This is great! Awesome job!

I'm new to the hobby, with relatively no crafting skills. I'm working on an ESB Fett now, but you just sold me on this set for when I go for TK next. Looking great!

I realize this is an old thread but I figure it would be better to continue here than to start a brand new one to junk up the place.
Being new to the hobby and forum, I have a few questions. I'm around 5'6" 140lbs, so I'm quite a bit shorter than most of the troopers here. There seems to be a bit of confusion on which kit would be best for someone of my stature. It's been a while since this was brought up last so I was wondering if anyone has any more insight into this? I'd like it to be accurate but as this will be my first try I realize I'll probably need something on the simple side.
On the other hand, are there a bunch of shorter troopers out there at events and such? I don't know how out of place I'd seem, besides all the "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?" jokes.
Thanks

Yes, I was there also. I had a great time meeting the author and everyone. I felt the overall interaction was great and it was the final push that inspired me to look into getting into the hobby myself

Hello, I'm a college student with a life long love of Star Wars. I"ve been inspired by the 501st on several occasions and have recently decided that I really would like to be able to get my own kit and join someday soon. I'm new to the forums and will definitely be reading up a lot to get as much information as possible before starting my journey.

A couple of my family members were out exploring some shops today, came across a blaster, and sent me some pictures. Granted, I certainly don't take the tag's word for what it is, but I did think it looked familiar. Considering my limited experience, the closest I can think of is an old Hasbro, but I can't place it as anything else. They said the top was metal while the bottom was certainly wood, as it appears.

Any ideas or thoughts?
I'm might have to check it out sometime soon.
Just noticed the typo in the title, oops.
